John/May isn’t a romantic relationship.  She was very young and he was not kind to her. 

A song everyone loves but you dislike:  Strawberry Fields is always my answer because it is an honest answer. 

A song everyone dislikes but you love: I don’t know what everyone dislikes.  I probably dislike it too.  (If we’re doing solo careers and by ‘everyone’ you mean a particular sort of section of the world, then Imagine.  I really like Imagine.  I like Happy Xmas too.)

Your fantasy involving The Beatles:  ...is this a family show?

Tell us about the moment you knew you were a fan:  I first loved the beatles before I knew it was possible not to love the beatles, so I don’t have a moment, but my latest obsession started in June 2019 when I took my mum to Liverpool for her birthday weekend and we went round the Beatles museum and EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM sank back into me all at once and I nearly cried listening to audio of george martin talking lovingly about them.

Did you ever have a genuine ‘The Beatles suck!’ phase before becoming a fan? Nope. 

Favourite Beatles book:  oooh. I don’t know.  I probably like the ones by George Martin and Geoff Emerick best, the people who worked so much with them, but also totally acknowledge what stupid dicks they were.

Thoughts on the old generation of fans: I LOVE THEM.

If Hollywood were to make a high budget Beatles biopic, what is one thing you desperately hope they include?  I would desperately hope they didn't make a high budget Beatles biopic and vote strenuously against it.  I tried to think of something I would want them to include if they did, but I couldn’t think of anything that wouldn’t be better written in fanfic.  I’d MUCH rather read emotional lovingly crafted fic written by fans for no profit, than watch some big budget stupid film that would have half the heart but be given all the supposed importance.

Do you read/write fanfic?  I do read and write fanfic.  Although to be fair not very much.

Are you the only one in your family/friend group to enjoy them?  No. 

Are you a shipper?  If you mean do I think John and Paul’s emotional bond is the most important thing in the world, yes, yes I do. 

Favourite movie starring/made by them: HARD DAYS NIGHT

Do you believe in McLennon?  Not a reality based McLennon, no. 

General opinions on McLennon?  I find it soul destroying

If you got to change ONE thing about their history, what would it be and why?  Yes please.  I would like to protect all their business arrangements and take it all away from them so they never have to try being in charge of apple or knowing where their money is, or having board meetings or any of that, and they only have to do music.  It would involve both saving Brian’s life so he could keep them out of it, but also giving him someone to help him understand everything he was trying to do and do it better, so he/they wouldn’t ever have to feel that he wasn’t good enough for them.  And most of all maybe it would involve making sure Paul and John kept control of their songs.  If everything else was unachievable in a single action, I would just do that bit, and everything would still be awful, but they’d be more whole.

What song has the best vocals?  I don’t know, is it ‘Girl’?   

What song do you feel had no effort put into it?  Roll Over Beethoven always seems weak to me

What is a well talked about moment in Beatles history you genuinely believe to be false?  I don’t think I have one of these.

What is something you KNOW to be true, but often gets erased in their history?  I don’t think I have this either.  I don’t think I’m absolute enough.

Least favourite look from a Beatle(s):  John when he has very short hair and those terrible round glasses and no happiness in his face.
