Words are flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup They slither while they pass, they slip away across the universe
Happy 77th Birthday, Johnny!
Photos taken on John’s 31st birthday, on 9th October 1971. John and Yoko were in Syracuse, New York for Yoko's art exhibition This Is Not Here opening to at the Everson Museum. Later that day a birthday party was held for John in his suite at Hotel Syracuse with Ringo, (and possibly Maureen?) Mal Evans, Allen Ginsberg, Eric Clapton, Phil Spector, Klaus Voorman, Neil Aspinal and Jim Keltner attending. An impromptu jam took place (and was recorded). Songs played included What'd I Say, Yellow Submarine (sung by Ringo), Like A Rolling Stone, a medley of 'Twist And Shout, Louie, Louie, Yesterday, Maybe Baby, Peggy Sue, Bring Out The Joints (a Lennon/Spector original), Heartbreak Hotel, Blue Suede Shoes, Crippled Inside, Give Peace A Chance, Paul's Uncle Albert / Admiral Halsey, George's My Sweet Lord, Imagine and more.
Best relationship? John and Paul, as ever
John Lennon Appreciation Month – First Week
What’s your favourite movie? (with the beatles or by his own)Â
It’s definitely A Hard Days Night, that movie is a happiness bomb to me, in the way it is, even though i love Help! too, so much, it’s AHDN what really owns my heart. And what else could i do, than to draw my fave scene from the movie.

john lennon appreciation month - week 4: a. what's the cutest thing John did?
— The first really cutest thing i remember he did, it was when he allowed to a young beggar man to enter to his house and share lunch with him, Yoko and some friends. unfortunately i don't recall exactly what documentary was... but i think it was when he was recording "Jealous Guy"; this guy was really curious about his music and it was always outside John's house, so when they found out him, John was like "it's okay, let him go inside with us". i remember i almost cried.
— When he stayed by Yoko's side in the hospital, because she suffered a miscarriage. John slept on the other bed and when this one was required, he slept on the floor.
— There are a lot of cute things John did with or for Paul, the cutest i remember right now is the one when he split his chocolate to share it with him and (the one i tried to refer here) the one when he talked to Paul about the star in the sky that will always protect him because it was her mum and then he told to Paul it will be their star.
— His relationship with Julian, especially when sometimes he was recording and greeted Julian on the camera, like a version of Stand By Me, when he said in the middle "Hello, Julian" and smiled ♥
