         if there was one sure thing in chad’s life it was ben. the girl he cared about, his reputation, his team had all be taken from him… discarded but for some reason, ben had remained. it had always been them; side by side, facing every challenge that was thrown their way together -  inseparable they were from the moment they met it was obvious that much would be the case. when those two small princes met something clicked, he was his best friend and that continued as those two young heirs grew up into adulthood. but as they got older things got strained, life got harder and responsibilities became heavier.

     ❛ me ignoring you? no way. ❜ okay, maybe he had but it was only to prove a point he hadn’t expected his best friend to bust through the doors of his dorm room calling him out. at first it was just not giving a friendly smile in passing, then it came to ignoring texts, then calls and he guessed that ben had finally had enough after he didn’t show up at the event. the truth was chad was hurt, seriously. ben was the one person he had always been able to rely on the duo were practically inseparable but ever since ben was crowned a divide had been wedged between them this barrier he couldn’t find a way around. at first he blamed those four kids for tearing him away from the iconic royal trio but now. now he blamed adam, sorry king adam. if it wasn’t for him both of them would still be those kids running off on a trip to camelot to watch the tournaments, spending a sunday evening sparring but all that was gone.  ❛ alright i am, i though it was just easier this way. ❜ at least he thought it would be, now he questioned even that, ever since he shut himself away from ben chad was  just angry all the time. he’d even managed to create a possible battlefield in his dorm as those two bright boys who grew up side by side now stood opposite sides of the room, chad setting a glare at the king in the frame with defensive arms. ❛ i don’t want to get hurt, not again. i thought pushing you away was the easiest way to protect myself. ❜ but his argument met with a sarcastic laugh of his own stupidity, audrey hurt him but ben he now knew he couldn’t not intentionally. ❛ i guess sometimes i’m even wrong because i miss you a lot and really, i’m sorry. ❜

ngl... bless him. that's a good type to have.

He agrees, he doesn’t want someone that let’s him do what he likes as he pleases he wants someone to tell him when his lame ass is wrong and help him grow to be a better person.
