Soft words spoken as grey eyes gazed at his favorite torturer. In this moment , is was just the two of them. Which meant that he could claim that last few minutes of the year as HIS and the beginnings of the new year too. Time was the one thing that could never be returned once stolen.
Chrollo gave a slight nudge to shift his spider so he could grab him and gently pull him onto his lap as he gazed up to Feitan with a smile on his lips. This would be the best position with their height difference , and it meant Chrollo could take a moment to admire how the silver moonbeams seemed to outline Feitan , like an otherworldly creature .
So many truths and revelations had come through to the light this year. Ups and downs , but even so it was a year that was worth remembering. Three. A hand reached up , pulling down the scarf from Feitan’s face as he leaned closer. Two. a soft smile pulled at his features. One. Chrollo leaned close enough to whisper a “ Happy New Years , Feitan “ against his lips. Zero. With that , he pressed their lips together , the chimes of the bells in the distance accompanying the moment between the two of them.
After the need for air grew , he pulled back just enough to speak. “ To an even better year. “

“When you said we were running low on some things, I didn’t realize how many things.” He had to speak up to be heard over the commotion, his tone teasing. Careful not to tip too far and spill their bags, he leaned over to peek at the list Solaris held. “How much do you have on that list?”

A : AFFECTION. HOW DOES HE SHOW AFFECTION ?
-- HC. oh, he shows a lot of it through his actions & words ! it’s very easy for him to cling to whoever catches his interest-- be it by following them around or pestering them until he catches their attention / gets them to do what he wants ( he doesn’t always mean what he says or does, though, at least not superficially, no ! ). if he has feelings for them, he’d totally be into casual, soft touches or casual flirting. he’ll no doubt be reminding his partner / crush how much he adores them or how much he cares for them every chance he gets, multiple times a day-- since saying loving words comes very easily to him & he isn’t ashamed to declare them again & again !
-- THE same hold true for hakuji-- or part of it, at least ! he’s very awkward with his words, often preferring to show his gratitude & affection towards koyuki, keizo & the rest with his actions, rather than his words. be it through cleaning the dojo on his own, through a nice & warm breakfast waiting for them for when they wake up, or through massages to help them feel better / release some stress ! when he does get comfortable with his partner ( koyuki, in this case ! ) or with someone he cares about, he’ll take a moment to remind them how much they mean to him & how grateful he is to have them in his life. he doesn’t use loving words often, but in moments of weakness or moments of honesty, he’ll absolutely say them-- since he doesn’t want to regret not saying them.
G : GIFT. IS HE A GOOD GIFT GIVER ?
-- HE doesn’t gift gifts often, since he prefers to show his affection physically ( aka. just him ! ! by himself ! ! even hakuji prefers that, even though his version of affection is more controlled & soft ) & doesn’t see much value in items ( that especially rings true for hakuji, since he usually doesn’t have the money to get such a thing / present-- so if anything he’d save up for a certain thing or make it himself ! ), but when he does go through the trouble of getting them something, it’s bound to be good !
-- IT’S either a little something that reminded him of whoever he’s giving it to, or something that he thinks they will like-- a thought that comes after a long time of observing the gift receiver. that is, unless he hates who he’s giving a gift & gives them something they’ll absolutely hate, because he can be petty like that. when he gives them, he doesn’t expect much of a reaction ( especially in hakuji’s case, since he thinks it’s just a return gift for everything the other person has done for him, & doesn’t expect a big thanks or anything ), but when he does get one, it makes him feel warm & happy inside.
Y : YOURS. DOES HE GET PROTECTIVE EASILY ?
-- HC. depends ! it varies based on what it is, obviously. like, it’s very easy for him to obsess over something or want something for himself-- when he does, he’ll try to immortalise it or watch over it ( he’ll even protect them / it from other demons during that time ! ). if / when he can’t obtain it for whatever reason, though, he can quickly decide to not get too hung up on it & either he destroys it or forcefully keeps it, depending on the most convenient option at the time. there’s no in between. he can be protective over said person / ability / thing if he’s in the process of obsessing over it-- but it’s rare for him to care for something so desperately that he would do anything for it.
-- BUT when a moment comes he does actually genuinely CARE for something or someone, he’ll stake his life to protect it / them & will defy all odds to defend it-- even if it means betraying muzan or his own nature to do so. it’s one of the only untainted emotions / habits that followed him from his time as hakuji; for he was someone who would’ve done anything, & i mean ANYTHING, to protect those he cared about, but ultimately failed. in both cases. it may be because of that unconscious sort of fear of not wanting to lose something he cares about again is still resonating within akaza, that he’s willing to go far, far beyond what would be expected of him to protect anything he really cares about.
