@tokyopt @songstersmiscellany You guys chose well - this is the only one out of the list (besides Yuletide) that I’m actively working on. I’m about 6,000 words in and I’m just getting to the end of the second of ten planned sections, so this is probably going to be another long one. (I’m always doing this to myself...)
I won’t give too much away, but as the title indicates, it’s a fic about Ghislain and Kikuchi-san, told from Ghislain’s point of view. It’s the story of how they become friends after the Sochi Olympics in 2014....and how that friendship changes into romance. It’s the story of two men who’ve always sat on the sidelines cheering others on figuring out what they want out of their lives (read: each other). It’s about how love can strike at any time, even if you think you’re too old, too detached, or too set in your ways. At least, I hope it works out that way - like I said, I’m only 6k in, this could still go really wrong.

Oh, and what’s the ship name, you ask? The ship name is “bearwizard” - an incredible name invented by one of the members of the Knife Shoes Appreciation Society discord server (Fran, if you see this post, step forward and be credited for your genius.)
Wish me luck as I keep plugging away at this! I have less time to write now because I’ve started taking on freelance work in addition to my regular job, but I’m committed to figuring this idea out and taking it to the best place possible!
