I can’t do anything with my hair, I don’t wear makeup, I live with goats, and play in the woods but damn my stylist performs miracles!

how can i get grungy messy looking hair? kind of like frances bean cobain or gerard way in the earlier 2000s. they have this messy stringiness that’s hard for me to achieve, i’m not sure if there’s a certain product or haircut i could get for that kind of look.
This kind of thing, right?
First, use a sea salt spray through damp hair (roots to mid lengths) to create a grungey texture. Then, blow dry the salt spray into the hair. If your hair is straight, use a curling wand at random intervals through your roots to mid lengths and then use a straightener over the top to flatten them back out, giving that slightly wavy but piecey texture. Finally, use a texturizing paste on the ends to give them a piecey look.
For products, try the Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray and Wella EIMI Rugged Texture Matte Texturizing Paste. Or for something more affordable, go for the John Frieda Beach Blonde Sea Waves Sea Salt Spray and the Tigi Bed Head Up Front Rockin’ Gel Pomade.
