My journey with music (you can skip this its mostly just needless yapping):

I've been listening to metal since i was young, my father being a large influence for me in the early stage of developing my music taste. I didn't actually listen to music until later. I went through that "posercore" nu metal phase that a lot of new metalheads go through as that's what i grew up around (courtesy of my dad). I listened to a lot of Korn, slipknot and other bands (still do occasionally). Then i went to good things 2024 to see Korn and many other bands. after this i started to branch out further, over the next short while i sunk deeper into the metal subculture, getting into bands like TOOL, Mastodon, Opeth, Cancer Bats, Paleface Swiss and Battlesnake. my dad recommended me bands like 8 Foot Sativa and Behemoth. Then at the end of 2025 I saw TOOL live, i got vip tickets and that was without a doubt, the best night of my life, although i wouldn't consider them metal, TOOL is 100% my favorite band and i have no shame in saying that. In 2026 I found the album "Internal torment" by Cryptic Hatred in my Spotify recommendations, this old school death metal album re-ignited my love for the heavy side of metal and i went back into the rabbit hole and started reaching into old school death metal, slam metal, brutal death metal.

Sub-genres: BDM, Slam, OSDM, MDM

Albums: Internal torment (Cryptic Hatred), Vile Genesis (Inferni), season for assult (8 foot sativa), Ænima Lateralus and 10,000 days (TOOL), and honestly way more but i cant just name every album i like.
