SOLAR (솔라) is an eight membered coed group under STARMAKER ENTERTAINMENT, that debuted in april of 2019. their concept, best described as a sort of space themed video game with a cyberpunk twist, contrasts slightly to their music, which takes inspiration from mainly retro synth pop sounds. however they’ve cemented themselves as rookies in the industry.

BOTANICA (보타니카) is a six membered boy group under STARMAKER ENTERTAINMENT debuting on july 25, 2020 with the single blooming. they’re the first boy group to debut under SMK, and are easily recognizable for their more innocent “flower boy” concept.

~ She didn't make the final group line up and ranked 10th

~ Like Tzuyu and Momo, Rin was added to the group a day after the final episode

~ When Rin found out she made the group, she was amazed

~ JYP thought she would fit in well with the image they have for the group

~ Her language skills were also one of the reasons why they thought she would be a great addition

~ Some fans were confused about her joining the group after not making the cut

~ The members were super excited to find out that Rin would be joining them

~ Though many fans supported the idea of Rin being added to the group, some people were against it

~ While preparing for the debut Rin barely took any rest from practicing

~ She felt like she wasn’t at the same level as other members and had to work harder to show her full capacity

~ While preparing for their debut the members made sure to be there and reassure Rin

~ Upon the release of their debut, a lot of the fans were amazed at how well she fitted within the group and the dynamic between the members
