(Dorian’s first reveal)
The aasimar sat on the Ide throne he finally overtook and overthrew, the hallways were now filled with silvery decorations with a hint of gold glitters spread all across the corridor columns, the emerald hanging from above the chandeliers, the aura of holiness, the large painting of him with his own crown attached on the wall to showcase how he’s the highest authority and the most important of all the entire Ide Kingdom.
It was a nice quiet peaceful surrounding for the aasimar as he gently poured red wine on the cup as he sipped it, rethinking about how he would finally be able to handle this kingdom.
Alas, he sighed and got bored, as he kept on swirling with his wine glass, as he gently tapped his fingers on the seat throne.
After minutes of complete silence.
BANG!
Suddenly, the large door burst open as the eager bard took a deep breath as she exclaimed, “OH MY LORD DORIAN!” She coughed up a bit, “Oh greetings, my lord.”
In which the Aasimar sighed, covering his ears with his wing accessory, “What is it?”
“He will be visiting you as you finally requested,” The bard said.
“Go bring him to me as I would like to discuss important matters with him.”
“As you wish, my lord.” She bowed down once again and went outside to bring him.
As she finally exited and brought him here then exited all by herself, he then entered the hallways revealing him to be a freckled half elf man with his cold sharp eyes, his long brown hair tied in a loose bun, and his cloak covering all over him.
His cloak draped over the floor as the freckled man bowed down with respect as his cold sharp eyes began to mellow down as he asked, “Your majesty, what is the urgency if you may ask?”
Then the aasimar gently tucked in his wing accessory behind his golden strands of hair as he replied, “Since it’s been years since she’s been missing, I would like to compile a request for you.”
He nodded as he stared at the gentle Aasimar’s piercing emerald eyes.
He softly spoke “For this task, I will command you to hand Princess Ide to me. Whatever she’s dead or alive as long as you will complete your task.”
The freckled man became hesitant, although trying to capture other nobles was his forte, it seemed like an impossible task to capture someone related from a highly regarded noble bloodline.
“But my lord Dorian-“
He then showed the wanted poster of the Princess made by the other trusted artist he hired, his gentle eyes stared at the hesitant half elf still keeping himself quiet.
Until he finally spoke.
“Since I’m feeling generous,” Dorian softly smiled as he gently tapped with his own finger at the bounty description below the drawing of the Princess, “The reward is 50,000 gold pieces. Since you have been so well at capturing other important figures, will you finish this task for me?”
The freckled man’s eyes widened at the thought of having many gold pieces, although it was way risky and difficult for him to capture a princess. It was his dream to have luxury, to have a stable home when he will grow old, more food on his own plate.
However, due to his own greed that consumed him over his mind and the conflict with his moral dilemma, he decided to finish the task by himself and agreed.
“It’s a deal, my lord.”
Dorian’s gentle demeanor changed as his smile subtly turned into a small smirk, with a hint of approval and appreciation gleaming in his gentle eyes, “Very well.”
