I’m excited to finally be reading BORAX by Douglas Kincaid. It’s been on my to read list for a while but not having time for much else but herbs has caused me to put it off. Toad stones were coveted by medieval and Renaissance nobility for their ability to detect and neutralize poison, and in some cases to bestow occult powers on the wearer.
