Love Wins All.

Batman does what he does because he loves it. He loves helping people, he loves being Batman.

Joker does what he does because he hates. Sometimes he doesnt even know what he hates, but he does. Thats just what he does. He hates the world, he hates people. He just hates. Thats all he knows.

Batman wins since he fights because of love. Joker loses since he fights because of hate.

But you know what?

Joker loves being himself. He loves the game. And he wins by getting to be himself, by getting to play.

but he doesn't know how to love- no. He only knows how to hate- and so he hates, and loves it when he feels hated by Batman.

The thing is, though;

Bruce keeps pushing Joker away because he fears attatchment, but he knows that no matter what, Joker will never stop trying. The harder he pushes him away, the more Joker chases after him.

Joker needs a purpose, a constant in his life. And that is going after Batman. Joker is also Batman's own constant, which he too desparately needs.

Joker knows that Batman wont let himself reciprocate, So Joker never has to think about "whats next?".

I think the that way Joker sees it; Batman needs him more than anything else-his family, friends, allies, etc.

Because Batman needs a punching bag- something (or someone) he can vent out all his frustration on- his Rage- with justification.

You dont feel bad that you dammaged a punching bag, because thats what its here for. Its entire purpose.

And Joker needs to be punched, to be dammaged. He'd do anything to be Batman's "Punching Bag" because he knows that's what he needs- not comfort.

Bruce needs to vent through his body- not words. Especially since its so hard for him to talk and be open.

Jokers sees this. And he knows that the more Batman is provoked, the more he'll hit. And Joker needs to be hit.

But Joker's not just a punching bag to Bruce. He's his opponent in a death match. One he cant seem to ever beat. His rival, his equal- his opposite.

Bruce doesnt quite understand Joker- but he sees him as what his own purpose is.

Bruce wants to help people like Joker. And if Joker can be helped- So can literally anyone else. Maybe even himself.
