For the last two weeks every fuxking time I go to use my bathroom at work someone else is in it. I cannot. This is my bathroom, girl. This isn't even you're floor. Two different chicks. Just use your bathroom, ffs.

On the surface this is a dumb rant but actually it's really not. I have ibs-c and it acts up if my bathroom habits change. New people in my restroom is a change. I don't want to be in physical pain the entire day because other staff have decided this is their area too.

Why do people always feel the need to talk with me in the bathroom. I mean, just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I want to be social on my way to go poop. I mean... Really???

My college has a gender neutral bathroom in the main campus building.

Which is great, you know? I haven't visited many colleges, but I know in some places those of us who don't fall into the binary are often stuck with awkward decisions when it comes to bathroom usage.

I'm a trans* guy early in my transition. I'm not comfortable using the men's restroom just yet, despite being in a space where I'm certain it wouldn't be an issue,  and I refuse to use the women's restroom. So it's really nice to have that one gender neutral bathroom there as an alternative for those of us who aren't up to using the gendered restrooms on every other floor of our seven floor building.

Except, you know, when someone is using it as a gallery space. Or covering one stall of the three stall bathroom in paper mache. Or using it to record a scene in a movie they're creating.

See, I go to art school. Which is great, and I love it, but apparently some people this year have decided it's just a great space to show off their work in, and today there was group of people filming in it.
