Instead law firms of defense attorneys are the little ateliers around, so the boss of the law firm is the witch teacher and the other witch disciples would be who are usually the employees. Okay to make this less contorted: think Phoenix as the teacher and Apollo and Athena as disciples. And Trucy too because fuck it OF COURSE SHE SHOULD BE A WITCH!!

Now you may ask who's the watchful eye? You already know. Actually you know what's fun while I think it could be interesting to have Miles as the watchful eye because he is a Knight, and I don't know if he has time for that, the thought of Maya becoming the WAA's watchful eye when she grows up is actually so endearing. She'd let them break whatever laws ever. That's so funny

WAIT I REMEMBER NOW. I thought about the three wise, and Mia was the wise in teachings, but it ended up becoming Maya after her death. The wise in principles is Lana Skye, as she was the chief prosecutor before miles, and miles would be like Easthies, vice captain. I wasn't sure about the wise in friendship, instinctively I want to give it to Amara. Because why the hell not.

All the culprits being brimhats ... especially the big culprits like Gant, Kristoph, Phantom, Calisto, Engarde ... stuff like that.

Don't even ask me about the ezrest kingdom I don't know. Like obviously with a kingdom I think about Khura'in but Amara is a witch, and if we follow lore Ga'ran should pretend to be a witch too, which means she cannot be the non magic queen, I DON'T KNOW

THEN I kind of went off mark and thought about my oc x canon, bassecutor, my beloveds. So Nahyuta is 100% a Knight because I made all prosecutors knights. Is this the right choice character wise? I have not thought about it. I want to see him in the pretty uniform I do Not care. I don't know actually whether any prosecutor or detective works as a knight okay I have just randomly slapped the title without thinking much leave me alone this is my playground

So in that storyline we have Basil who is my little guy, he left his family because he wanted to blend in with humans and study music (learnt from witches too tho), and he ended up having to struggle by himself in the muckpool with other people. He's from a witch family, but is currently staying with non magic people to support one another out there.

Eventually some lurking brimhat makes contact with one of the desperate, struggling people trying to survive in the muckpool: Bsil has been keeping an eye on the area while also pretending he knows nothing he just wants to make sure all the other street kids are safe.

One day though rumors come out into the witch world and they send a knight to survey the area and investigate preemptively and then if there's action to be done, they'll send out a whole team. So Basil's strolling through the streets near the muckpool with this instrument on his back (maybe the same as Dagda?) and then he's approached by a knight who is, YOU GUESSED IT, Nahyuta because bassecutor meet cute had to happen.

So they talk a little and Basil takes him aside because they have to be stealthy about this but yes he is a witch and there IS potential brimhat activity lurking. Nahyuta is like why ??? are you even here ??? because this is not typically a place witches visit really. And they're not supposed to meddle with non magic people. BUT HE'S LIKE DONT WORRY IT DOESN'T MATTER LET'S GO.

So long story short mission is carried out the brimhat or whoever was fucking around is caught and then some filler plot stuff happens and then AND THEN the best thing ever happens which is Basil takes the few kids he met in the muckpool, shows them magic, decides to take them out of there (they're all orphans) and start his own little aterlier to teach them magic fr fr so they can have a better future. because fuck the system.

And then Nahyuta finds out but he doesn't really have it in his heart to tell this to the knights. because you know. what he did wasn't really legal but it's kids ... no one is getting hurt ...

So he'll be the one to come check on him even if he probably shouldn't, and one day WHEN SOMEONE ELSE comes knocking to make sure nothing illegal is happening Nahyuta goes oh no these kids already knew magic before. They just lost their families and got lost. And then he becomes their watchful eye which is not normal for a knight but he's dedicated to the craft so wHO CARES.

there's like. some more thoughts but this is the gist of it. To be fair other variations of this would also be cool like prosecutors and defense attorneys both being different ateliers but being like. rivals. and the detectives are the only knights.
