Well, binders dont lift your chest on your own

Big tip is using your hands and moving your chest around yourself, getting your chest in the right position is part of my binder experience

If it's still a loose fit, then positioning your chest isnt gonna help much obviously

I personally would try getting safety pins and seeing if you can make it a little less loose before trying heat treatment, but if you dont have safety pins (and dont know how to sew or dont want to) then maybe try shrinking it a bit with heat

Just be careful when doing so, you dont want it super tight

Most chest sizes arent going to get a solidly flat fit, and thats especially true if your chest is on the larger side

My binder helps, but it doesnt and wont ever safely get me flat (and I knew that going into binding)

So make sure you manage expectations of what a binder will do for you, as that'll help when trying to get a loose fitting binder not so loose

And hey, if it doesnt work out and you end up doing nothing or ruining it, its not like it was fitting you anyway

So Ive been binding for a few years now, and have looked into brands recently to help a friend

And lemme tell you, definitely look into the brand your planning to buy from! See recent reviews and what people say about them

My binders are gc2b binders gotten years ago, and according to others that brand has fallen off quality wise since mine were gotten- which is wild to me since gc2b was a staple brand for a long while there

Some binders are swimming/exercising safe- but you really gotta listen to your body. Cannot stress this enough!! If you start to hurt or have trouble breathing, take it off. Don't wear it for over 8 hours and don't sleep in it. Be safe god damn it

In my experience if you just got out of a shower/are even slightly wet (especially on your back area) it will be near impossible to put a binder on. So make sure to give yourself enough time to properly dry if you can before shoving a binder on

Most binder companies recommend you hand wash your binder, and like you should if you can- but I don't have energy and dont do that SO

You can just put your binder in a washing machine (make sure its the only thing in there so it doesnt snag on anything) on low/no heat (no heat preferred)

Then let it air dry, which I do so by hanging it on my towel rack in my bathroom- and it should be good within a day or 2

Depending on how much you plan to wear it you should probably wash it pretty regularly (I do not bc Im just like that and rarely wear it), but it should also help with the binder stretching out (which does happen over time)

Another thing, put deodorant on after you put the binder on- dont remember where I heard that or why but it does make shit slightly easier

You only really "need" one, but I like having two binders- it's kinda nice, but that might be a bit expensive so take it how you will

It your bigger chested like I am then I recommend getting a full tank binder instead of a half tank

It should help bind them a bit better and stop gapping which can happen at the bottom of half tank binders

Also make sure to hydrate, but especially on hotter days!! Your gonna be wearing an extra layer, which can get hot pretty easily
