The emperor: good to get because it shows your hard work, discipline in regard to your career.

4 of pentacles: good to get because it shows wealth, gifts, legacy in your career.

7 of pentacles: good to get because it shows money, business in your career.

The lovers: number 1 card to get represents love, commitment, attraction.

The sun: good to get because it represents joy & positivity in love / the connection.

The world: good to get because it represents the end of a cycle, cosmic love, travel.

Ace of cups: good to get because it represents the emotions / feelings being positive in a love reading.

2 of cups: good to get because it represents the love, passion, friendship in a connection.

6 of cups: good to get because it represents happiness, children, love coming your way.

10 of cups: good to get because it represents happiness, connection, end of a cycle.

The world (number 21): my number 1 fav because it represents completion of cycle, travel, love. The art is absolutely stunning and this will probably be my favorite tarot card ever.

The hierophant (number 5): my number 2 favs because it represents teaching, knowledge, and overall I think it’s more often than not a positive card to get in a reading. I also love the art on this card.

The chariot (number 7): one of my favs because it represents being determined, achieving and believing. I also love the art on this card especially the animals on it.

The star (number 17): one of my favs because it represents love, your soul tribe, Star seeds, the art on it is visually beautiful as well.

The lovers (number 6): one of my favs because it presents love, attraction, commitment. I love love and the art on this card it’s so beautiful.

10 of cups: a fav because it’s one of the cards that represents happiness, contentment, fulfillment, joy.

My favorite cards & why

All information is from google websites & not AI! This is my introduction to tarot and there will be a lot more tarot posts in the future.

Tarot is usually a 78 card deck divination tool that is used for fortune telling, predictions, love, personal growth etc.

22 of the 78 are the major arcana and the other 56 are called the minor arcana. All the minor arcana are divided into four main groups & on each card there are cups, wands, swords and pentacles. Each of the four main things have a number from 1-10 on the cards, also a knight, king & queen in their groups.

Each of the minor arcana groups also represent a zodiac sign group based on the zodiac signs four elements:

Cups = water signs (scorpio, cancer, pisces). Also represents feelings, love, affection.

Swords= air signs (gemini, aquarius, libra). Also represents mental stimulation.

Pentacles= earth signs (taurus, virgo, capricorn). Also represents money, career, stability.

Wands = fire signs (leo, aries, sagittarius). Also represents drive, motivation, spirituality.

Also on each of the tarot cards there is a number on the top of each card from 1-10 and here’s what each number represents; (the first card in each is also called an ace because it’s the beginning of each group (cups, swords, wands & pentacles) you’ll never see one of cups it’s always ace of cups etc.)

Two: balance, duality, partnership

Three: creativity, groups, growth

Four: stability, manifestation

Five: change, conflict, instability

Six: cooperation, harmony, communication

Seven: reflection, knowledge, assessment

Hello and welcome to the first in my series of lessons on tarot, I sincerely hope you learn something and enjoy reading this. A few friends have asked me to teach them about tarot, and I got the idea to make this a learning tool for anyone interested. We’re going to start with the absolute basics here.

Now the tarot is a deck of 78 cards that can be used for both divination as well as self exploration. Some people prefer one use over the other, it’s all about what feels the most comfortable to you and what meets your needs and the needs of anybody you do a reading for.

A typical tarot deck is first divided into two parts, the Major and Minor Arcana. The Major Arcana is made up of 22 cards, starting at 0 – The Fool and ending at 21 – The World. These are thought to cover more major things such as big life events, things that are destined to happen, big parts of you, ect, ect. The Minor Arcana is made up of the other 56 cards. They are the numbered cards (Example: Four of Wands; Three of Cups) and the court cards (Example: Queen of Swords; Page of Pentacles).

This is where we divide the Minor Arcana up for the first time, into the numbered and court cards. The number cards represent minor things, in life and as a part of you. The court cards can be people and messages, among other things.

The next way we divide the Minor Arcana is to divide them into the four suits; Wands, Cups, Swords, and Pentacles. Please don’t think that the pentacles represent evil or anything of the sort. You will learn what each suit and card represents in further lessons, along with other things. I hope this is a great first step in your tarot journey.
