Tarot Readings
Hello to any and all who see this,
I am opening up to doing tarot readings! These readings will be by donation, preferably $1 for 3-card readings, but whatever youād like to donate would be a lot of help! If you have a specific spread that youād like me to use, please DM or submit it! I am open to doing spreads that require more than 3 cards.

This is my first time advertising readings, and as much as Iād like it to be for fun, this post is made out of necessity. TLDR: My wife and I are short on rent and donāt want to get thrown out on the steet. Then include our other bills that will be coming up soon (like insurance) and weāre in a pickle. We also have a large dog with us that would make it impossible to find an apartment again (especially without it being double our current rent).
people have no idea what its like to be 14 and have everyone telling you that youāre faking and pretending to be ill for attention or to skip art class and the doctorās telling you youāre ājust being a teenagerā when you actually had a serious kidney disease
if someone hadnāt eventually listened to meĀ i would have died
Please, please support self-diagnosed teenagers, donāt pretend theyāre not really disabled, donāt belittle or mock them, donāt exclude them from disabled spaces and for the love of god donāt pretend you know more about them than they do
i am disabledĀ to this day because when i was a teenage girl, my doctors didnāt take me seriously.Ā when i said i was in extreme pain, they said i just wasnāt trying hard enough at physical therapy to repair a broken ankle. turns out theyād fucked up the surgery to fix it, and their neglect of my months ofĀ complaints meant it was damaged beyond repair. i still have mobility issues 8 years later, will have pain and require surgeries throughout my life and will, always, be disabled. because of them. because of the silencing of girlsā voices, in all spheres. because doctors do not value the voices of teenaged girls.
When I was twelve, the knee specialist I had finally convinced my mom to take me to (after years of begging) told me that my knees hurt because of my hips widening.
āNo,ā I said. āYou donāt understand. I canāt walk when it happens, it hurts so bad. Itās been since I was a little kid.ā
āIt might twinge a bit, sure,ā he told me. āGo to physical therapy for a few weeks.ā I burst into tears.
My mom then refused to take me to physical therapy, because it was a long drive and the doctor said it wasnāt serious, so why should she bother? That was the start of her not listening to any complaint about my joints I ever had.
As it turns out, my knees were dislocating every couple of days. She and my doctors ignored and taught me to ignore sprains, fractures, cartilage tears, and dislocations until I moved out and learned that it wasnāt normal. I missed out on years of my life because of my doctor not only discounting the experience of a young girl, but fully blaming my pain on the fact of my being a young girl.
Listen to children when they tell you something is wrong with their bodies.
I had stomach pains for years as a kid. Almost daily. I was blamed as a faker.Ā
I have Celiac.
People know what the hell is going on with their own bodies. If they donāt think something is right fucking listen to them.
In their study, āThe Girl Who Cried Pain: A Bias Against Women in the Treatment of Pain,ā researchers Diane E. Hoffmann and Anita J. Tarzian documented the degree to which girlās and womenās pain is routinely dismissed as the ānot real,ā āemotional,ā response of āfragileā females. Not only are girls and women who experience pain less likely to be taken seriously when they describe it, but they are less likely to be treated by medical professionals.
I contracted Lyme when I was fifteen. Iām now a disabled adult because I didnāt get proper diagnosis and treatment as a teen. I know this feel.
I told everyone I was diabetic for 6 months before someone listened and got me tested, I was less than a week away from going into dka based on my ketone levels.
Iāve been in pain since my young teens, my cramps were terrible, my periods horrible. Iām just now being taken seriously and I just turned 26! I haveĀ AdenomyosisĀ and I need a hysterectomy as other options that Iāve tried have only helped so much. But IāmĀ āonlyā 26 so Iāve been having to fight for it. I have an appointment in two days and I donāt know if the surgeon will give me the approval and even if she does, who knows if my insurance will approve it? I have to live at home and can not work or go to school due to the pain Iām in and The sheer amount of hormones they had me on that finally made the pain bearable was too much to boot, so a hysterectomy is my last resort. I guess Iāll post an update once I know if the surgeon agreed to do it.

Hello, this blog has always been one of my favorites. Before I continue, I have done my due diligence and read throughout this blog on the difference between, as well as the loops and grips of the two STJ types. I'm terrible with emotions but can catastrophize with the best of them, and I'm still caught between the two. This post helped a lot when understanding the two NFPs (post/159511961480), I was wondering if you could do something similar for the two STJs?
Good rule of thumb ā if you are considering the possibility of being an extrovert, you probably are one. More extroverts mistype as introverts than the reverse, because introverts tend to know their limits when it comes to social engagement. That being said⦠the same rule applies from that post. Inferior functions are like infants.
Inferior Ne tends to be resistant to looking beyond the obvious. It will Ne-riff with people for awhile but it soon gets tired of āplayingā and goes back to real life. In my experience with ISTJs, they easily become frustrated with abstract concepts and conversations that go on too long, because they donāt appear to have a clear conclusion in sight and serve no purpose. Their inferior Ne just is not that tuned into that sort of thing, unlike an ESTJ who will engage longer on that topic and sometimes, with greater skill. Higher Neās tend to ādabbleā in Ne-related things ā so you have an ESTJ who dabbles in philosophy as a hobby, or adopts abstraction as part of their career in psychology, as a means of helping figure out what makes their clients tick.
Inferior Fi is also more childish than tert-Fi, because itsā ruled by a very strong, dominating Te-dom tendency to want to shape the outer world according to its own values. Hermione Granger is a perfect example of this, with SPEW.
If an ISTJ decided that SPEW was a good idea, they would steadily work toward it, because it has value to them (Fi), but not being Te-doms, would be much more respectful of othersā views and know that a gradual process (Si-dom) is best. You change small things that lead to larger changes down the line. SiTe logic would say choose an area that will appeal to a wider base of people, and target that. Work to get that changed, and it will have a greater social impact. Go at it more quietly and productively. Thatās the balance in an ISTJ between logic and feeling being best friends in the middle of the stack. Middle TeFi ā I believe this, but I also do not believe in imposing my views on others.
Hermione, however, goes in with Te-dom drive and ambition. As an extrovert, sheās focused on the outer world ā the House Elves are being marginalized and enslaved, they are not being treated properly, I need to fix this. Her Fi is strongly and rather childishly valuing her own opinion over how others (namely, the house elves) feel about their āenslavement.ā So she launches a massive campaign in which she wants others to get on board and be supportive (extrovert) but her inferior Fi lacks nuance, so she drives people away with her aggressive approach, and is not that respectful of the needs / wants of most of the house elves, who start avoiding her because THEY DO NOT WANT FREED. Her Fi wants change, and her Te-dom attitude is IT NEEDS TO HAPPEN NOW.
Now, if she wasnāt being inferior Fi irrational, she would use her higher Ne to look at the big picture. If all the house elves are suddenly freed, what impact will that have on wizarding economy? What impact might it have on Hogwarts? What are the larger social problems of freeing all the house elves? Where is the money going to come from to pay them to do the same thing that last week, they were doing for free? She has the idealism of tert-Ne, but none of the practicality of Te, because sheās so wrapped up in inferior Fi emotions.
You need to remember the attitudes and focus of the introvert vs. the extrovert.
Te-dom: shaping the outside world to fit what they want from it.
Si-dom: having a rich internal world that they steadily build toward expanding.
Te-dom is more likely to leap into action instantly than Si-dom, for that reason.
- ENFP Mod
Thank you for answering, Charity. A bit more information:
This is complicated by my core enneatype: 5 (likely with a 4 wing). Iām obviously not a social extrovert, in fact if I leave my room I often get jokes at my expense (āItās alive!ā for example), which donāt make me want to come out of my room at all ā obviously. But Iām aware that inferior Fi is as valid a possibility as inferior Ne.
My possibilities started out with all of the TJs. I first ruled out INTJ, as Iām clearly not a Ni dom. A lot of my friends see me as intuitive (after my clear Te preference, thatās always the most obvious), but Iām pretty clumsy with intuition and I mostly use it in a way typical to someone with intuition lower in their stacking. Plus when doing my research, Iāve ruled out Se completely, I obviously use Si/Ne, and I think thatās why people can see me as intuitive and āquirkyā or āoddā, theyāre seeing my extroverted functions. Plus my chosen career and the way I express myself arenāt (stereo)typical of an STJ. Iām an occultist ā astrology and tarot are two of my favorite tools, but I use them in a practical way, to help people and to try to understand the people around me. People, their emotions and typical ways of interacting confuse the hell out of me. Iām a neurodivergent, disabled, queer woman of mixed race and thatās shaped me into someone a bit odd I suppose.
To address lower Fi: I have a shaved head, nearly bald, and I love it, but it took me an actual eternity to actually shave my head the first time. I was at war with myself and the situation I found myself in; I knew my family would freak out, I knew Iād get strange looks and be judged for it, but my hair was falling out due to illness, to the point that it was seriously distressing me and taking a toll on my mental health. It took me well over a year to finally say āscrew itā and shave my hair off completely and I still struggled with my decision even after it had been done, still struggle with it sometimes. And all of the emotions involved were strange and strangely intense, I do have deep feelings but they can be pretty foreign to me and I often struggle with my feelings a lot. Iām still pretty bad with feelings in general.
Another example: My username is something I say I am sarcastically to my mother and grandmother, both feelers, who are convinced I donāt have a filter at all. I do, it just filters differently. I honestly struggle with feelings, though, Iām either too insensitive or too accommodating with little in-between and I struggle with that. I donāt want to hurt people, but I also think that sometimes people are too sensitive. Then sometimes I surprise myself with my own sensitivity to things, as Iād like to think that normally I have a thicker skin ā but everyone has their weak spots I suppose. And sometimes I know exactly how I feel about something, and sometimes Iām unaware of having feelings on a matter at all.
And when stressed out I can have a mini to a huge meltdown. From none of the clothes Iāve grabbed fitting me and my foul mood ruining a shopping trip to me literally crying and screaming because Iām overworked, exhausted, and in pain with no breaks because my mother had an accident three months ago and Iāve been having to take care of her nearly non-stop for the whole time while being disabled myself as she got worse before at a snailās pace starting to get better and heal, but not seeing an end to it before I figured Iād collapse, and so getting upset at how exhausted I was, how nobody was considering how I was feeling and only my grandmother was helping, and me catastrophizing about it only getting worse and how it was never going to end. Am I proud of all of that? No. Am I kind of fine after the occasional freak out/outburst? You betcha. Am I embarrassed by them and do I feel incredibly exposed afterwards? Hell yes. But Iām trying to be honest here so I can finally figure this out.
Do you see why I struggle with whether my Fi or Ne is inferior? Sometimes one is the screaming toddler, sometimes the other is, and sometimes they just scream together. An example specific to high Si/low Ne, since Iāve focused more on Fi: Iāve come to despise my birthday as something always goes wrong and the day is terrible. Iāve come to expect it to the point that youād think that itself would ruin the day ā which it has in the past. This year I tried to just hope for an average day and wouldnāt you know it, I get sick. But hoping for an average day came after me ranting and rambling on all the things that could go wrong and being called out on catastrophizing.
Iām sure of my functions, sure of being an STJ, just not sure of the exact order. Since we havenāt discussed my first two functions, since you seem to enjoy using HP examples/references, and since more examples of how I think and work will likely help: Iād never read Harry Potter until about three years ago, still have only read the first book, and I honestly got so incredibly pissed off at Dumbledore. Why? Well for starters, at the beginning of the book it seems like Dumbledore hasnāt taken anything practical into account. He doesnāt consider talking to the people he plans on leaving Harry with so he has no clue what theyāre like, if theyāre willing to actually take Harry in, if theyāll keep him, if they can financially provide for him when they already have one baby to care for, ect. And then if memory serves me right, he didnāt check back in on Harry to see how he was being cared for. Actually, nobody did, is there no one practical in the wizarding world who cares about Harry? I mean, aside from Harry being now-famous, youād think someone would have cared? Even McGonagall, who seems the most practical of the bunch, didnāt. I understand that Dumbledore is an intuitive, obviously, and that McGonagall has learned to trust Dumbledore and the madness to his meathod, and I havenāt read the other books, but these are just the things that I would focus on were I in this situation and there was a young child involved and that annoy me that nobody focused on and I do not have reasons for. Iāll possibly read the other books later on.
Anyway, if you do happen to read this crazy long reply, thank you. And if you have any thoughts or insights to give me, that would be very much appreciated.
Ripleyās favorite phrase this week has been āwhatās this?ā which he mostly says about food, but also sometimes just to get us talking about whateverās in our hands. If he says āwhatās this?ā while holding something in his feet, we tell him about whatever heās holding.
Just now he started asking āwhatās this? whatās this? whatās this?ā while staring worriedly behind the couch. I said āI dunnoā because I wasnāt sure if he was actually asking about anything in particular. Maybe he meant the couch? The darkness behind it? The marimo next to the couch?
Then he said, āitās wood?ā which I figured he was saying because I had been making him a toy from wood blocks a moment ago. So I said, āIām not holding wood anymore.ā
But he kept staring intently over the arm of the couch, so I had to go over and see what he meant.
It was a gourd.
src: smbc comics
So I thought at first you were talking about a child
Then when you said that Ripley holds things in his feet, I assumed you were talking about an armless child
Then when I saw the picture, at first all I noticed was the parrot, no gourd, and thought "why does this child think this parrot looks like wood?"
And then I realized that Ripley was the parrot all along and that 1. I really need sleep and 2. Context/details matter
When we talk about colonization and genocide in the Americas, we are often met with the same statement:Ā
āThis happened hundreds of years ago, get over itā.
Sure, it started centuries ago. But it didnāt end hundreds of years ago, or one hundred, or even 50.Ā
When we talk about these issues, we donāt just mean small pox-infected blankets, or forced migration. We donāt just mean settlements, bounties on our heads, the physical attacks on our villages. We donāt just mean the residential schools, or the laws that banned our traditional languages and practices.Ā
We mean:Ā
- The Sixties Scoop, when Indigenous children were ripped from their communities to be placed with white families.
- Residential schools, the last of which only closed in 1996, where children were forced to give up their languages, culture, identity, and were abused horribly.
- The Millennium Scoop. The child welfare system in Canada is still ripping children from Indigenous communities. Despite only making up about 8% of the age demographic, Indigenous youths under 14 account for more than half of the foster system. (x)
- 80% of reserves in Canada have median incomes that fall below the poverty line (x)
- A vast number of reserves in Canada do not have clean drinking water (x)
- Indigenous rights and land titles are routinely ignored in order to create pipelines and sell off resources. (x)
- According to Indigenous womenās groups, there are approximately 4,000 cases of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. The RCMP only acknowledge about 1200 of these. (x)
-Ā āBetween 1997 and 2000, the homicide rate for Indigenous women was nearly seven times higher than the rate for non-Indigenous women.ā (x)
- A man literally confessed to the murder of Tina Fontaine, a 15 year old Indigenous girl, and he was acquitted. (x)
- Colten Boushie, a Cree man, was shot multiple times by a Saskatchewan farmer. A jury featuring no Indigenous people declared his murderer not guilty. (x)
- The Starlight Tours. Saskatoon Police routinely took intoxicated Indigenous men outside of the city in sub-zero temperatures and left them to find their way back. Several froze to death. The Saskatoon Police were caught deleting the article about this from Wikipedia. (x)
- Suicide and self injury are the leading cause of death for Indigenous men under 44. In addition, the rate of suicide in Indigenous women is seven times higher than that of non-Indigenous women, and the rate of suicide among Indigenous men is 5.25 times higher than that of non-Indigenous men.Ā Suicide rates for Inuit youth are among the highest in the world, at 11 times the national average. (x) In certain communities, like Attawapiskat, suicides reach epidemic levels. (x)
These are just a few of the many legacies of colonization that impact us today.Ā
This is colonialism. This is genocide.Ā
It never stopped.
(please add more to this list)
Update:
- Starlight Tours have been recorded in Calgary as recently as mid-October 2018. Facebook posts about it have been vanishing from accounts soon after reposting.
Also: Indigenous women have come forward with their experiences of forced sterilization. Not just 50 years ago but 2017. And not just one or two. There are 60 women part of a recent class action lawsuit against Saskatoonās Health Region.
Another update for those not following recent events:
- The Canadian government and RCMP carried out a heavily militarized attack on Wetāsuwetāen people defending their unceded territory from an illegal pipeline this week.
This is land that does not belong to the goverment. It is land that according to the governmentās own laws, and more importantly Wetāsuwetāen laws, canāt be taken by Canada.
This is colonization in action.
I get this is cool info and all, and āletās help the native Americansā but as a Navajo boy living on the Rez, this donāt mean shit. Like okay??? And???? Still gotta haul that water from a town thatās an hour away. You know what I mean, like itās just info that doesnāt change anything
Itās info people arenāt taught, and itās important. The fact that you have to haul water so far is another example of this. It āmeans shitā if it makes people actually think about what theyāre doing to us.
What Iām trying to say is that itās just a reblog. Unless it reaches someone with absolute power to change the fact. Iām not trying to get deep with this, Iām just also not in the mood to stay patient.
Right but no one is saying reblogging is all that needs to be done or that itās enough. Reading the notes is enough to tell you that people didnāt know a lot of this stuff, and bringing awareness, even just through a post like this, is important.
āwhy bother writing bisexual characters if they just end up in a m/f relationshipā
my dude
my guy
my pal
stop talking forever
Oh I have never reblogged faster in my life
Watching my bi friendsā identities get erased when theyāre in m/f relationships makes me think itās even MORE important to write bi characters in m/f relationships and then be REALLY BLATANT about the fact that one or both of them is bi.
Doctors insisting that all women take pregnancy tests before having an X-ray is sexist and paternalistic. Iām a lesbian whoās never been sexually active, but Iām always required to take a pregnancy testĀ ājust in case.ā This practiceĀ reflects the general culture of doctors not believing and trusting women, and it needs to change.Ā
Iām gonna respond to this in a weird way but just. Stay with me for a minute. Let me do my x-ray tech thing real quick. I agree wholeheartedly with what youāre saying, and Iāll come back to it, I swear.
The original purpose of a pregnancy test before an x-ray was to make sure thereās no fetus being exposed to radiation, which can result in the worst case scenario in birth defects and miscarriage. Radiology and medical imaging in general operates on a risk-vs-benefit scale. Is doing a chest x-ray to see if you have pneumonia worth a small risk to the fetus? In many cases, of course it is. I personally donāt like x-raying pregnant people (not that it has anything to do with pregnant people, but more about how most doctors donāt understand the first thing about radiation safety when they over-order exams), but sometimes you gotta. Pregnant people get sick and need healthcare. Thatās that.
But the thing is, thatās when people KNOW theyāre pregnant. We explain the risks and benefits to them, so they can make an informed decision. Some people refuse, some donāt. Itās their choice.
But if youāre pregnant and donāt know it yet, you canāt make that informed decision.
So we offer pregnancy tests to people who are unsure of their status in that regard. To give them peace of mind if nothing else. If somebody is sure theyāre not pregnant, theyāre still making an informed decision. Most places have a form you can sign saying thereās no chance of pregnancy and y'all can get on with the test. I fill it about 20,000 of those papers every shift at my hospital. I know they exist.
What happens a lot, though, is that you go to the ER (for example), and the doctor orders an x-ray and an hcg, and the nurse asks for a urine sample or draws some blood without telling you itās for a pregnancy test.
Y'all. That is not informed consent.
So then (if your ER is anything like mine), you have to wait 10 years for a nurse to have time to test the urine or for the lab to process the blood. And all that time wasted for nothing, because you knew you werenāt pregnant.
Next time you get an x-ray, tell the nurse up front you donāt want a pregnancy test and that youāll sign whatever form you need to.
It shouldnāt be your responsibility to do that, tho. Thatās the thing. Doctors and nurses should inform you that theyāre running a pregnancy test, because itās your right as a patient to understand what kind of care youāre receiving and to refuse any exam or test you see fit.
But doctors donāt like hearing ānoā, so they donāt tell you so there wonāt be a fight. That has to change.
OP, I want to tell you that, no matter what a doctor or nurse or anyone might tell you, x-ray techs know the rules about radiation safety better than they do, and they cannot REQUIRE a pregnancy test. They can suggest and recommend it, but they cannot REQUIRE it. It IS sexist and paternalistic not to listen to a patient in any way, but especially in regards to what can be a very sensitive subject. No one should force you to undergo a useless test that only serves to delay your care.
TL;DR: start refusing those motherfucking pregnancy tests when you walk in the front door, y'all. Itās your right as a patient. Make them listen to you until we start teaching our new doctors not to be assholes.

we need to be taught disability history in school because it is 2019, i am 20 years old, and i am only now learning that the National Association of the Deaf had to take Netflix to court in 2012 in order for closed captioning to be required on streaming sites (source). any amount of accessibility in our lives has been fought for, and those stories need to be told.
Hulu was just taken to court in 2018 in order for audio descriptions to be included in their services for blind users (source)
access is a constant battle, and is nowhere near universal

The best cover for Bruce Wayne would be dumb carefree playboy who is also Instagram Optimistic, everyday heās posting a selfie of his smiling at his breakfast with a caption likeĀ āitās a waffle day! #goodvibesingotham #gratefulā or a picture of a sunrise with a caption thatās justĀ āwow #blessedāĀ
Bruce Wayne ending up as Gothamās favoured son because he may be an idiot, but heās a cheerfulĀ idiot, and he donates tons to charity and genuinely loves Gotham and actually, truthfully does put a lot back into the city. And his instagram is a bright ray of sunshine, and honestly there are a lot of people in the city who get surprisingly defensive of their Dumb Carefree Playboy because, okay, sure, every month or so Bruce Wayne falls off a yacht or sleeps with a reporter or whatever. The man clearly never met a healthy coping skill even once in his life.
But as far as news regarding Gothamās prominent citizens go, BruceāsĀ āscandalsā are so normalĀ that itās downright refreshing. When a headline hasĀ āBruce Wayneā in the title, you know youāre either going to read some Celebrity Gossip level non-drama, or else something to do with a charity. MaybeĀ heās been kidnapped again, but thatās only happened a few times. Bruce Wayne news is like the Gotham equivalent to special reports about dogs who rescue their owners from drowning, or raccoons whoāve figured out how to get past the new self-locking garbage can lids.
And thereās something weirdly reassuring about following his twitter. Like, if Bruce Wayne is tweeting about a really neat old tree he just saw, things must at least be sort ofĀ alright.
(Meanwhile, Bruceās social media persona is 100% him flanderizing Clark.)
