So I did a bit of math this morning conserning the pricing of BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle's character DLC.
ASW stated that the base game will be sold at a discounted retail price, with the character DLC bringing that price up to the usual $60. Let's say that the base game will retail at about $40, so that should make the character DLC total up to about $20.
If we divide the $20 between the six character packs of three and include the two single character packs, each pack should cost around $2.50. However, if you divide that $20 between all 20 characters, each character should cost around $1.
This is really fucking good when compared to other fighting games, which typically sell DLC characters at around $5 (and don't get me started when Evolve tried to sell one character for $15!) However, this is completely justified, as much of the character assets are recycled from their original game save for the RWBY characters and any other new character that needs new assets.
I still understand how locking half of the game’s roster can illicit some form rage in the FGC (especially from the RWBY community). I understand why alot of you are upset, but I just wanted to do a bit of math for fun here.
