An AU where Cale is a prodigy child and think he need to be the most perfect son a nobleman could ask for.
He will be the most prim and proper noble you ever seen. He can do anything need to fit noble standard. Art, music, horse riding, hunting, dancing, swordmanship, spearmanship etc etc he ace it.
Cale used to be a normal child despite being a prodigy. Hes playful and energetic. Everyday his clothes will be full of dirt, as if he was rolling on it. He was the light of the mansion. There was no day when he wasn't laughing or teasing the servants.
He has his own dream of becoming a merchant because he wish to travel the world while increase Henituse already loaded wealth. And his parents support his dream.
But after Jour's death and his father absent, young Cale have to fulfilled the purpose of his birthright. The branch family were putting a pressure on him, telling him this is his job as the heir. This is his purpose as Henituse. They even used his father as a way to pressuring him.
"If you be the perfect son, Count will be the proudest father to have you as his son"
And those words are the one stuck the most in the little boy's mind. So he pushed himself into everything nobility could offer. All for a tiny bit of his father's compliment, attention and affection.
Then Deruth came back with Violan and Basen and boy, how shocked the Count was when his young little boy greets him in the most proper manner. But something is wrong with his son and so he observed and found it.
His son is like a clockwork toy. He woke up, dress up, ate breakfast, went to study, ate lunch, went to art practice then martial practice, evening tea, bath, dinner, study again, dress up to sleep then sleep and start over again.
Deruth tries to stop Cale but he is too late. Long gone his energetic and full of dreams son, now all that left is this 'perfect masterpiece of carpenter'.
He greets Basen and Violan but because of his busy schedule, they rarely got a chance to bonding. So their relationship are awkward at best.
As for protecting Basen and Violan, he merely avert the gossip about them by fedding the nobility with more better tea (aka blackmail)
Idk what happen as for the future man. This is suppose to be based on What Else I Can Do with Cale as Isa and Basen as Mira but I think the song lost in translation...
