But this is just a normal modern AU. No wars, no curse, no power.
How does that work you ask?
Ok so they shared a father (since they looks alike). Barrow's father married to his mother who is a Thames AND Jour's sister but then they got divorced maybe when Barrow was 12? Not very young but not really old either.
Barrow custody went to her mother. Later, his father married again and then they got KRS. While her mother and him are living together with Nelan Barrow.
And then his mother died when he was 17. His father tried to took his custody but he refused.
Nelan then adopts Barrow. That was how he got the surname Barrow. (Btw idk anything about laws)
When he was 20, his father and stepmother died in a car accidet. With Nelan's persuasion, he flew to Korea (forgot to mention they are on differeng country) for theirs funeral.
That was where he saw KRS. He was not really fond of him. After all, they have a big age gap. After that he flew home.
He told about KRS to Nelan and got a smack from him.
Nelan nagged at him for leaving his brother alone in such situation and Barrow just ignored him saying he is still young for such responsibility.
Skip after he finish internship, graduate from univercity, and got a job. Nelan told him that he supposed to be KRS's guardian now that he is a fully adult and just finish with studies.
When he tried to argued, Nelan shoot back that he already rejected it back then. They argued. Nelan won. And Barrow with a heavy flew to Korea to take care of KRS guardianship.
It seems fate are mocking him cause he got raised to be a manager at one of his company branch in Korea.
Then he went to his uncle house (he knew his uncle took KRS custody) only to found KRS in the middle of beating by theirs uncle.
Now, Barrow maybe not fond of KRS but this Barrow is not as cruel as WS that we knew. Hes still have his humanity and empathy.
So what he do? He took the empty bottle and smash it to his uncle face. Grab and dragged KRS and went straight to hospital.
Took KRS's medical report and went to police station. Soon his uncle got captured.
And then they live fine. KRS grew up and become teen. Maybe 16-17?
Skip. KRS works part time and he have a workmate around his age. Who? Dum dum dum
CJS always bother him. They are close but KRS won't called them friend (cause he is in denial)
Then one day, CJS invited both KRS and Barrow to his family dinner (or party. Whatever suit) and they went with the promised of free food.
When they arrived, Barrow almost choked cause behold! His infamous bad reputation maternal cousin, Cale is also there.
Just in case, this two are close when they are little but then started dislike each other as they grew up (because in their little kid logic,'he is stealing MY name and now everyone making fun of us') before grew distant and never contact each other again theirs mothers death.
So you can said that they become quite awkward with each other.
(Btw Cale is a little older than KRS. Maybe 19 or 20?)
When asked what does Cale doing here, he proudly said he got invited by his future in-laws. (Barrow almost died from choked water. After talking, turn out Cale is 'courting' CJS's middle aged uncle, Choi Han)
(Barrow almost choked Cale, KRS feeling embarrased for all of them despite not personally knew or related to Cale, and Cale ignorance towards their inner turmoil, keeps dreamily talking about Choi Han)
Alright, back to reality. To run away from Cale, Barrow striked a chat with random Choi's family member, one of the elderly, and almost died for third time.
Turn out his adopted father, THE Nelan Barrow was a member from Choi's family. To be more specific, Choi Han's uncle. He ran away with his boyfriend and change his name.
He knew this after the elderly talked about their ran away brother and pulled out the old picture of them.
(Barrow didnt know if he want to curse Nelan from jealousy or be amazed because they dont really looks so much different from theirs youth)
(Barrow's face pale when he suddenly realized, that means he and Choi Han is a cousin. And if Cale succesfully 'courting' Choi Han then... He is pitying his future child's family tree project)
Then idk what happen, the 3 become close somehow someway
And I was thinking Alver as KRS's partner. KRS play a game and have one online friend name 'Bob'. They always chat but never cross the line about privacy. They just knew each other gender and age. Bob is in his final semester in college.
Then skip one day, Cale invited them to his house for Lily's birthday party or whatever.
To cut thing short, they met Alver and yada yada KRS found out Bob is Alver. Theirs romance gonna start slow because of their age gap.
As for Barrow, he got fhit on by his dilf subordinate. So what does this 3 got in common?
