Plant! Repotting!!

Today we are repotting my recent acquisition- Bart Kandy, a bush on fire Croton!
One of those plants where I saw her colors and just kind of went insane. She's been resting in her nursery pot for a little over a week now, and has been doing well! So now we're gonna switch her over to her new home :)
To start, the pot I have for her doesn't have a drainage hole, but it is unglazed! So bottom watering will be a must. To help mitigate the effects of possible over watering in the future (I'm pretty careful but you never know) I sterilized some leca and put about an inch layer of it at the bottom.
My hope with this is to create a sort of well for water to wait in, instead of being submerged in soil at the bottom which could cause root rot.

My plan for her soil was high drainage since again, no bottom hole.
What I ended up with was majority coco coir, with some cactus soil, extra perlite, and a small amount of organic gardening soil. I also wet the soil before potting it to help with structure as the plant gets accustomed and even hydration for the roots to reach out to!
Then I took Miss Bart from her previous pot and shook out most of the extra soil from around the roots!
She was mostly root bound around the bottom, and I think she may have been planted too deeply because she had leaves submerged in soil.
And then after all that Miss Bart Kandy was brought back to her home by the window to enjoy the rest of this (rather cloudy) day!
