Pack 1, Pick 1 of the Forbidden Trash cube.
No sleeves, no tokens, no counters, no shuffling, no need to read text in graveyards. Yes doing unfair stuff.

Forbidden Trash
May 14, 2024 | list: cubecobra.com/c/trashiv | deck pics | 5 drafters, 3 packs of 13
DF: "This was the game that had the most rules clarification/stack clarification I've ever needed. Very chaotic and very fun." More importantly, there's a DOG!
Third draft of my bar cube, Forbidden Trash, and a good one. Drafters said they enjoyed it, weird stuff happened, I think it's on the right track.
Things to consider:
There might not be enough creatures.
I need to keep an eye on Thrun, but there are answers, and it hasn't been unfun.
Tapped lands are punishing. Does there need to be a shift?
Green is good enough, but does it have enough hooks?
I didn't spot any "broken promises" except that there might not be enough mana sinks for all the big mana out there.
This cube is complicated, but I don't think to the point of it being a problem.
It's easy to forget about there being no counters, no tokens, minimal shuffling, and simplified graveyards, but I think those are all to the benefit of the play experience.
I might want to add back some more equipment or vehicles, although combat didn't feel bad
So far the best decks have been Boros, Golgari, and Gruul. As much nonsense has been going on, power, toughness, and attacking are still important.

February 2, 2024 Draft
Deck Pics - list: cubecobra.com/c/trashiv "the Forbidden Cube(?)"
4 players draft. 5 packs of 13 each. Discard the last 5 from each pack. Discards are available post-draft as a shared extended sideboard, for testing purposes.
First paper test of this new list! No sleeves, no counters, no tokens, no in-game shuffling, your graveyard matters but not the text on the cards there.
I think it went really well; 3 of the 4 decks came together and the 4th offered insights into how the list needs to change. It felt distinct from Pink Sleeves, and the cards I wanted to showcase shone.
The discards-as-shared-sideboard was barely relevant. I grabbed one card, others might have grabbed a couple; We just already had the cards we wanted in the draft. I think I like it as an option, but it didn't make a big difference.
My other impression was that the lands weren't contested enough. It may be that the trilands are needed after all; Everyone just got the lands they wanted. On the other hand, I really liked the mono-colour lands, and think I should add another cycle of them here... and maybe to my main cube.
This was the least concerned I've ever been about complexity in any of my designs, and it didn't feel bad; although I know I'm just naturally going to bias towards elegance and accessibility.
Izzet "Is This Tempo?" drafted by SJ, February 2, 2024.
Most of this deck played how I knew it would, but I liked getting the reps in.
Grim Lavamancer is one of the pillars of the cube; if it's not an important card, something has gone off the rails.
Phyrexian Revoker was constantly relevant. It's going to move up my pick lists in my other cube.
I love the tension with Bloodrage Brawler, in that you could maximize it by waiting until you're discarding for value or not discarding at all, or whatever, but really you just want to be swinging with a 4/3 on turn 3.
Ghostly Pilferer was a really late addition, but it seems perfectly designed for this list. It drew me cards, provided a perfect discard outlet, and got damage in. Superb.
Anje's Ravager just got answered before it drew me a card every time I cast it.
Jaya Ballard, Task Mage was a must answer. I used all three activated abilities. It feels a little clunky, so I'm not sure whether I want to keep it in, but it makes itself at home.
Brainstorm with zero chance of shuffling feels, uh, distinct.
Counterspell was unplayable in this deck. I discarded it multiple times. I would have loved a Memory Lapse in its place, but that's again down to LGS availability.
Casting Treasure Cruise for a blue feels so damn good. Does it need to go back in my main cube?
Aradara Express was here to smash through damage, and it did.
Remote Island should be Lonely Sandbar, but the mono-colour lands made me want to include more. Especially with smaller pods it's more fun to have contested picks.
