Enjoy the sweet taste of baked pears with a hint of cinnamon and maple syrup. Having this gluten-free dessert is an easy and healthy way to get your sweet tooth met.
Ingredients: 4 ripe pears, halved and cored. 1/4 cup pure maple syrup. 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon. 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/4 cup chopped nuts optional, for garnish.
Instructions: Start by heating the oven to 350F 175C. Put the pear halves in a baking dish with the cut side facing up. Put the ground cinnamon, maple syrup, and vanilla extract in a small bowl and mix them together. Pour the maple syrup mixture over the pears, making sure that each half of the pear is covered. Bake the pears for 30 to 35 minutes, or until they are soft when a fork is stuck in them. Cover the baking dish with foil. If you want to add extra crunch and flavor, you can take off the foil and sprinkle chopped nuts over the pears in the last 5 minutes of baking. Take them out of the oven when they're done and let them cool a bit before serving. As a sweet sauce, pour any syrup that is still in the baking dish over the pears. Enjoy while still warm!
