Bailee climbs higher and higher, satisfied with her first kill in the arena.  She climbs higher, ignoring the slight tremours beneath her feat until she sees a boulder come crashing down right in front of her. The camera’s show her terrified face as she makes a run down the mountain only to fall on some loose rock. She tries frantically to get up but her left food is stuck in the ground.

The boulder comes crashing down, crippling the district six tribute beneath it. As it rolls on, it suddenly explodes. The game makers had planted some kind of explosives in the centre of the boulders.

The screens show Bailee’s flat body and the odd bone pierecing through her skin.

Her cannon fires.

Bailee and Casey have decided to make a temporary alliance as they know that neither one can survive on their own. They head up towards the Snowy Mountains and rest on a piece of flat land.

Bailee offers to look for some wood and Casey smiles and accepts her offer. As Bailee goes to leave, she turns back around, rock in hand and starts smashing Casey’s skull until a cannon fires.

Caesar: Welcome Bailee. How are you feeling tonight?

Tribute response: I actually have this adrenaline going! This is so crazy! Oh my goodness! I’ve never seen so many people. They look like a sea of color! It’s very exciting, Caesar. Very, very exciting.

Caesar:  So what do you like most about the Capitol?

Tribute response: Well this is probably very predictable, but the food OF COURSE. We don’t have food like this back home, and to get the chance to just have food at the press of a button.. It’s a massive luxury, sir. And then all the clothes! I’m a big fashion freak. I just love it. The way all the outfits are tailored, the colors of them. And the way they fit every citizen so perfectly. It’s amazing.

Caesar: [says he likes that too] so how was the reaping for you? How do you feel about that?

Tribute response: The reaping is always a nerve-wracking process. “Is it gonna be me?” every year. And this year, it was. But I’m pretty prepared! I’m ready for this whole chaotic thing. I am ready.

Caesar: [And that you are, Bailee. That you are! Well, good! So,] how did your family react when they had to say their goodbyes?

Tribute response: Of course they were slightly unnerved. My mother is such a strong woman though, and I know she has faith in me and what I am able to do. My father is always the one worrying. I don’t know how he finds the time to worry, what with work and everything. Haha. My younger sister has a little bit of the both of them in here, just like my mom, knows I have a good chance of winning this thing but like my dad, she’s also worried. I mean, any normal person would be.

Caesar: [I see, so we have a fighter do we? Very interesting.] so I see on your training you got a score of 4. How do you feel about that?

Tribute response: Well, I feel like I could have done a lot better but it seems like through all these years of the annual Hunger Games it has been very hard for tributes to get anything higher than a 5. I think the skills that I have will get me into at least the top 5 tributes, Caesar. :)

Caesar:  [We all have bad days, but it is true, it is truly a gift to get anything higher than that from the gamemakers.] Well when you go back home, you can tell them all about the Capitol. So anything else you want to add while we still have a little bit of time?

Tribute response: I’ve had a wonderful time here in the Capitol and thank you all for having me. Enjoy the games! And I’ll see you all on the Victory Tour ;)
