Amelia is the first tribute to be shown on day two as on top of the snowy mountain a single silver parachute floats down to the flat piece of mountain that the tribute is on. She opens it slowly as her hands are in a lot of pain due to the temperature drop. She opens it to find a small packet of biscuits.
Dalton is the next tribute to be shown and as he packs up his tent, a generous gift from two of his sponsors, another parachute falls at his feet. He opens it with no trouble and can see that a sponsor has sent him a packet of jerky.
Dalton shows his new gift to his allies, Dallas, Toni and Sam. He manages to share out the packet of jerky around the four with two pieces left and then slings his tent that is in the shoulder bag, over his shoulder. A snow storm had started and they all decided that it was in their best interests to move as there had been slight tremors on the mountain.
“Some arena huh?” Dalton says.
“Yeah its gonna be tough,” Dallas replies.
Dallas turns back to his sleepy district partner Toni who had been sitting for a minute to catch her breath when Dallas gives her a miniscule nod which she replies by doing the exact same.
Dallas lunges over the small space that separates both him and Dalton and raises his arm, knife in hand, to attack Dalton. Dalton had anticipated this as he had caught the nod that Dallas and Toni exchanged and elbowed Dallas in the face, hitting his nose causing the blood to gush out of it. While Dallas was on the ground, Dalton quickly raised his bow and arrow and shot at Toni, sending an arrow straight through her heart.
Toni from district seven is dead.
Dalton runs over and picks up the four knives that the fallen tribute had and ran off towards the fishing holes. As he ran Dallas grabbed his ankle and sliced his leg with the knife that his fallen ally had given him previously. Dalton escapes with his life intact.
Samantha looks up as Dallas rises. He is wearing a menacing expression on his face and does not give his ally the chance to move when he stabs her in the neck, forcing the knife in deeper and deeper until he hears her cannon.
Samantha from district five is dead.
Dasha and Courtney are resting on a flat part of the mountain when a silver parachute floats down into Dasha’s hands. She opens it to see that some sponsors have sent her a thermal sleeping bag, perfect for the new temperature drop.
Samantha from district ten is shown walking through the snowy plains, avoiding the trembling mountains all together. Samantha is sat close to her fire that is keeping her temperature stable as the temperature of the arena drops. Samantha puts out her fire and quickly makes her way over to the fishing holes.
Catching fish seems to be a lot easier than the tribute had imagined as she uses a piece of her jerky as bait and sure enough the fish come. When she catches the first fish, she cuts a piece out of it and uses that as bait when another fish comes. The fish takes the bait but quickly floats to the top showing that it was poisoned. She repeats the process only this time the fish that she catches using a piece of another fish does not float to the surface.
“I knew it!” she whispers.
She looks down at this fish and can see that there is no physical difference at all which then she smiles to herself. Samantha catches three edible fish and four poisoned fish.
Samantha manages to catch seven fish, but can see a tribute fast approaching so makes a run for the snowy mountains.
Samantha stops near the edge of the river, tired and exhausted and counts her supplies. She had ten matches, and five pieces of jerky and only three fish. She looks back to her old camp and realizes she must have left four of the fish at her fishing spot. Samantha makes a run for the snowy plains again.
Dalton is next to be shown running away from the showdown that had used to be his allies. The adrenaline takes him far but the gash in his leg slows him down. He makes it to the closest fishing hole and there he takes a much needed rest. He takes one of his newly acquired knives and starts raking it across the thick ice. Soon enough he ends up with a decent amount of shavings and he places them gently on his wound. It stings him and the cameras can see that in his face.
Dalton then takes off his jacket for a minute and then cuts a bit of his undershirt off to make a sort of bandage. He dresses his wound and carries on walking past the fishing holes and to the plains, still a fair bit of distance away from Samantha but neither of the tributes can make each other out. He opens up his jerky and starts to eat, trying to recover from the shock.
Rigel is the next tribute to come on the screens across Panem. He is running to the plains instead since he had seen and heard the mountains trembling from beneath his feat. Unfortunately for Rigel, his wound is serious which means he has to stop ever five minutes to give it a rest but that is hard to do when you are still looking for your district partner and your only ally, Samantha. When he does rest, Rigel puts ice on his wound in hopes of stopping the bleeding but the only thing it does is temporary numb the pain.
Oliver and Kathryn hear the tremors from the mountain and immediately leave and head for the lower left edge of the mountain, the side closest to the shore of the frozen lake. The pair deicide to try and remain out of sight but are ready for a fight. Oliver had at least one dagger on him, and if used, he knows that he would have to try and retrieve it from a fight.
“Did you make another alliance?” Kathryn asks Oliver.
He shrugs his shoulders, wondering if his alliance with Amelia from district five still stands, he knows that in these games, strength comes in numbers and his is willing to accept Amelia into the pack, if she asks.
Courtney and Dasha head up to the snowy plains, far away from the mountains and have been looking for the rest of their allies.
A cannon fires and Toni from district seven is shown, as is Samantha from district five.
“That’s at least one alliance broken off.” Courtney says.
Dasha nods and they both carry on walking, hoping to get to the snowy plains by night fall.
On his own, Dalton is still struggling with his leg wound when a silver parachute floats down, meters in front of him. He opens it slowly and it shows to be a small bottle of antibiotics. An expensive gift from any sponsor.
After a few hours of walking and a little resting, Dasha and Courtney find a place behind some average sized boulders not too far from the frozen lake. Dasha arranges the sleeping bag so both of the tributes can get a good night sleep while Courtney gets some water from the nearby lake surrounding the cornucopia. When she returns Dasha gives Courtney two biscuits and she has two as well.
The pair sit next to the fire slowly eating, and looking around.
“They’re a bit stale,” Courtney says, washing them down with some water.
“I know but at least we won’t starve to death.” Courtney replies.
“Do you still think that is a good idea to look for our allies?” Dasha slowly asks as she watches the sky.
“Sure, why not?” Courtney replies.
“I mean, it’s not like those girls died from slipping and breaking their necks you know. Big alliances don’t make any good… oh never mind” Dasha says shaking her head.
The wind is picking up and both girls are shriving, they both get in the sleeping bag, trying to get warm but it does not seem to be working. Dasha looks over at her ally and offers to take the first watch. Courtney murmurs a reply and then nods her head leaving Dasha to keep warm by the fire, spear in hand.
Another silver parachute makes its way to Oliver and Kathryn helps him retrieve it. He opens it to find that a sponsor has sent him some boiling hot soup with the thermal container, perfect for this blistering cold weather.
At the mountains, the girls from the lower districts eleven and twelve, Holly and Siobhan can feel the tremors increasing.
“Out!” Holly screams, “We need to get out of here, now!Let’s go down to the lake, we’ll figure out other stuff later…”
Both of the girls had ran to the fishing holes and despite their hunger, they had decided not to try the fish since four were suspically left at the edge of one of the fishing holes. As the hours passed, there stomachs continued to growl until a silver parachute fell right into Holly’s lap.
She opened it as fast as she could and smiled as she shown Siobhan the broth that was inside the thermal container.
At the snowy plains, Dalton is taking one of his antibiotics when a silver parachute floats down to his side. He opens it and notices a thermal container with “D5” engraved on it.
The only other district five tribute left is Amelia so it means that this has most likely come from Samantaha’s family. His former ally that had fallen due to Dallas’s sudden turn.
He opened the container and it contained hot oatmeal, a dish that he was sure to enjoy.
Amelia manages to find her ally Oliver and she assumes Kathryn.
“Are we still allies?” She asks as both Kathryn and Oliver raise their weapons.
He nods and Kathryn welcomes her to the pack.  Amelia still feels like she shouldn’t completely trust anyone because of what had happened to her fallen district partner Samantha.
Dasha and Courtney are still making their way to the snowy plains when they can see a parachute floating towards them. The silver parachute lands closest to Dasha, who then runs to see what the sponsors have given her.
“Look at these!” She says to Courtney as she shows her the new fur lined boots.
She puts them on her feet and can already feel the difference. They are comfy and keep her feet toasty warm. Courtney looks up to the skies to see if another one is falling close by, but there is nothing there.
Bailee and Casey have decided to make a temporary alliance as they know that neither one can survive on their own. They head up towards the Snowy Mountains and rest on a piece of flat land.
Bailee offers to look for some wood and Casey smiles and accepts her offer. As Bailee goes to leave, she turns back around, rock in hand and starts smashing Casey’s skull until a cannon fires.
Casey from district four is dead. Both district four tributes have fallen.
Bailee climbs higher and higher, satisfied with her first kill in the arena. She climbs higher, ignoring the slight tremours beneath her feat until she sees a boulder come crashing down right in front of her. The camera’s show her terrified face as she makes a run down the mountain only to fall on some loose rock. She tries frantically to get up but her left foot is stuck in the ground.
The boulder comes crashing down, crippling the district six tribute beneath it. As it rolls on, it suddenly explodes. The game makers had planted some kind of explosives in the centre of the boulders.
The screens show Bailee’s flat body and the odd bone pierecing through her skin.
Bailee from district six is dead. Both district six tributes have fallen.
Still in the mountains and recovering from the alliance that he had caused to break up, it had seemed that the sponsors and the people of Panem loved the show that he had put on.
A single silver parachute floated down to the district seven tribute, Dallas.
He opened it up to see a silver axe with the number seven carved in at the handle.
He thanked his sponsors for this gift and he felt the tremors of the mountain.
Jules and Jamie, the district nine tributes, are in the mountains finishing a loaf of bread when the tremors of the mountain nearly knock them over.
“What was that?” Jules says to Jamie, “Maybe we should get out of the mountain?”
With that the tremors had become more violent, so much so that Jamie had been knocked over. He fell hard on some jagged rock with the sound of a vicious crack.
Jules pulled her up and the two ran off the mountains and got to the river bank.
“The cornucopia is our best shot,” Jules says.
She doesn’t have time to wait and she dives into the water separating her and the cornucopia. She swims with record speed and reaches the other side. Jamie is swimming across too but at a much slower speed.
When Jamie finally makes it across the pair run inside the cornucopia. The head takes them by surprise as the metal has been sitting in the sun all day.
They finally rest and Jules tries to see what damage had been done.
Jamie, after hitting his arm on the rock, had actually broken his right arm.
At the river’s edge, Kathryn and Amelia are sleeping as Oliver is keeping watch when a silver parachute floats down. He opens the parachute to see that two sponsors have sent him a pair of snow goggles.
Jamie and Jules are still at the cornucopia and Jamie is nearly in tears as Jules evaluates the severity of the broken arm. Jamie took off his precious jacket, which was intended to keep him warm, and cut it into various pieces to make some sort of bandage.
“Jamie,” Jules shouted, “that’s to keep you warm! What are you going to do if there is a snow storm?”
“I don’t know but my arm bloody hurts!” Jamie snapped.
That night the pair did not speak as Jules had helped him with tending to his broken arm. They took turns in sleeping and Jamie had hoped for some sponsors.
15 TRIBUTES LEFT. WE WILL NOW BE USING A DICE AS WELL AS YOUR SUBMISSIONS.
