The Philippines is known to hold one of the worlds biggest biodiversities. That doesn’t end at animals and creatures, but also to the surrounding nature! The Philippines (specifically Mindanao) is home of the Rainbow Eucalyptus, a Eucalyptus tree that sheds colorful bark. It was mainly used for folk medicine, especially to treat cough or throat ailments. Other than folk medicine, it can be used as furniture, tools, utensils, etc! Currently, the rainbow eucalyptus is not endangered nor has seen a threat of endangering since its discovery and has been introduced to other locations such as Australia and Hawaii.
Inspired by the tree, there are plans to create a all-wooden eco-friendly apartment complex in the heart of Cebu! This complex will be environmentally certified, house 30,000+ endemic non-endangered local plants, and aims to pave a more greener and brighter future for city living. What do you guys think?
