kian looks at the large, magnificent looking creatures with wide eyes. he’s ridden them once before, on his way here, which was strange enough and something he barely remembers. he was too busy trying not to look down and realizing that, if he lost his grip, he’d plummet to his death. he never wanted to go sky diving and falling from a winged creature isn’t the way he would do it if he wanted to. he looks over to joshua, remembering their meeting and how they stripped themselves almost bare to run into the water. now, he’s asking him to fly through the skies with him. “are you afraid of heights?” he asks him, looking from the pegasi and the few satyrs around that are helping people onto them. “or falling for that matter?” 

eyes too-well practiced at sizing a man up, landed on one josh while he trained. the way he moved, the way he pushed and pulled, the way his body showed no sign of stopping once he’d made contact.

ivan stepped out from around his perch, having long put himself on pause, once the other got to work. hands in pockets, shoulder leaned against a sturdy figure, pressed into the dummy’s chest. whether the other was clothed or not, ivan was getting a good enough view on his slow up-down of the man.

He’d like to say he was starting to know Josh, but the Ares son had more connections than before. Julian saw him around the training grounds and touring the camp, but the two hadn’t talked much since Charon. It was time to change that. Julian thumbed the flower in his hand as he walked over to Josh, then rest his other on the man’s bicep. He thumbed the fabric, offering a smile, “How’s the dance treating you? I know we haven’t talked much, but I’m happy to see you’re fitting in. I have a flower for you: Edelweiss.” The white, angular flower was gently held in his hand. It was fresh from the picking, complete with a subtle, sweet aroma. Bravery, courage.

after a few rounds with others, ivan was feeling more loose-limbed and easy-tongued. his usual aversion to drinking around so many unknown factors was worn down over time, with repeated and unnecessary effort. hands on his hips, shawl tucked over his wrist as it wrapped tight over half his chest and around his back, he regarded how the son of war was dressed.
