Seeing clearly, or Baggage Check
I’m currently sorting through my old paperwork and in amongst the details of my mortgage and tax statements I have invoices for old cars and instructions for TVs that I no longer have. Yet I also rediscovered one of the most important letters I have ever received, my termination of employment from a certain opticians*.
It would seem odd to be happy to find a letter that says you are no longer…

baggage check below the cut
Been feeling really romantically frustrated lately
plenty of people i know are hooking up and i’m just here like “yeah, i’m good enough, i don’t need anybody because I’m not a half etc”
and while I’ve come a long way from “I need a relationship” to “I want a relationship” to “I want to be the kind of person people want to date” to “I want to be the best possible version of myself, for me”
things have been tough and I dunno when they’re gonna get better and being almost on my own up here isn’t without its bad daysÂ

One of my big concerns about being an artist is that I don't really have a "calling" to it as much as I do an "eh, I mean, you can if you want" to it
I'm not really suited for anything else
I mean I can lie to myself and contort myself into any configuration i need to in order to survive as long as it doesn't involve too much in the way of math, but the arts have been the only place I ever really feel at home as far as a professional calling/market of labor I feel I can compete in
and even then I have to blunt a lot of insecurities to keep moving
I feel split so many different ways and having to make decisions now to be able to pay rent and make moves to where I want to go
and in a sense I recognize that it's silly to worry about all of that right now and that if I keep making moves I'll get where I want to go
but my life has been about overcoming insecurities and trying to take command and be decisive so maybe this is just another front in that decades-long war
The future of baggage check
GREETINGS, MY FRIENDS. And welcome to a very special #FutureFriday, where one of you will die! (Not really, but I wanted to make sure you were paying attention)
One of the many necessary evils that we have to deal with these days is the fact of life that airports are simply going to force you to pay for the privilege of checking your luggage on a flight. Sure, you can carry on your bags, but your weight & size is limited for these bags, and I predict the size limits will soon restict even smaller, forcing those of us who travel by air to shell out many dollars to check bags that are larger than a medium-sized onion!
Which is why the baggage checking process is about to go through some very exciting changes in our incredible future!
If You Ever Need Something to cheer you up.
I often go here to recommend music that might help as well as some words of encouragement.Â
