A heavy sadness had been growing in Steve’s heart because he noticed a pattern all across the universe.  Corruption.  No matter where they went and no matter what was outwardly preached, they’d stumbled across so many political plots to overthrow established ways of life that the soldier was starting to feel lost.  Hopeless.

Pointless.

When they’d landed on Harkol there’d been a renewed sense of excitement.  Maybe this was the place where he could finally find peace.  Beauty surrounded them.  Jewels of all shapes and sizes used for resources without fear because, apparently, the inhabitants were able to utilize psychic energy.  Yet, it didn’t take long for Steve to start noticing the seeds of dissent.  Exhaustion hit him anew.  As a soldier who fought for peace he found it disheartening to see that nowhere in the entire universe were people able to live in harmony.

The knife, to him, had been obvious.  People who don’t usually conceal weapons hold themselves a certain way.  That, too, had been pretty consistent as far as he could tell.  Hesitation seeped through every muscle movement.  Overly exaggerated scans to make sure no one was watching.  Rose didn’t notice.  Rose never noticed because she was a good, beautiful soul who didn’t know how to be violent. A long time ago Steve decided he’d so anything to protect her just as he would Bucky, Sam, or even Tony.

Doing so garnered a reaction that stunned him in a way no physical blow could.  You killed him.  The look of pure horror in Rose’s eyes said it all.  None of their time spent together meant a damn thing.  She didn’t know him.  She’d never paid attention to any of his morals or ideals.  If she had, the time traveler would know exactly what it meant to take another life.  How it hurt him.  How much he hated doing it.  The pain in his heart was sharp.  Steve could feel his eyebrows slowly drift together.  Lips parting slowly because he hurt too badly to outright yelp.  No.  The agony was slow motion.

:) i’m feeling a lot of relief rn bc i thought it’d lost screencaps of the conversation that i’m being accused of abuse in, but i found them so! thank god lol. this isn’t a call out, and i don’t want anybody to send  the user in question hate over this, anon or otherwise - it’s just that a lot of slander about me is being thrown about at the moment, about how i’m cool with sending people death threats and how i’m evil and abusive etc, and like...

it’s just not true, and it doesn’t hold up in the convo in question.

so re: messages you might have been sent by boybcnd / badwolftm / pcindre (who has other URLs as well) “warning” you to stay away from me, like... this is the conversation in question. this isn’t a callout, just the convo as it happened. bowie has said they are unable to access screenshots, but it’s okay, because i’ve got them right here. 

some context: i used to roleplay pietro maximoff @mutancyspeedandcharm, and then @zywesrebro​. I used to use the FC of joaquin phoenix, which was obviously shitty of me, because pietro maximoff isn’t a white jewish guy, and is a guy of romany descent. i learned from that and i moved on, quietly abandoning the blog bc i wasn’t? really comf drawing a lot of attention to it. 

so fast forward to may of this year. 

i had reblogged a few posts about how whitewashing isn’t forgivable even when one is using the canon whitewashed FCs. i didn’t know at the time that one lass had been sent death threats over it - all i saw was that some people were making the argument that whitewashing was okay if it was done by the canon, which... unnerved me. 

bowie made a vague post on boybcnd, which has since been deleted. i don’t remember its exact details, and i apologise for not having a screenshot of it, but it basically said how hypocritical it was of those who RPed muses in the past with whitewashed FCs to now call out whitewashing. i was very upset, and i assumed the post had been about me - given that i was already feeling tender bc stuff had been sent about me into @ofconfessions​, the drama of the time
