โThe One Youโve Been Waiting Forโ
โDo you know what it was like to have a Nazi necromancer for a father? It sucked.โ
One of the worst sentences in a really bad episode. The Nazi necromancer storyline is probably the one I like the least in the whole show. It was just so lazy and far-fetched (and oh God, all those bad โGermanโ accents and wrong German, like how hard could it be to have a native speaker read over the script once).ย
โThe One Youโve Been Waiting Forโ is just an all around snooze fest. And it makes no goddamn sense. Why would they wait so long to revive Hitler? And surely, there would be easier ways to get the blood from Hitlerโs bloodline without screening this girl all her life and then kidnapping her.ย
From the lazy horcrux pocket watch to the bad CGI, predictable story line and the really bad acting (not sure who is worse, the Nazis or that hyper Hitler offspring) - itโs just all so bad. Also, a strange sentence to write, but: Hitler was so fucking ooc and it annoyed me so much. The manic laughing, jumping up and down and calling the other Nazis by their first names. I know, itโs supposed to be a funny and light hearted episode. But for that to work, it would have to be, uh, funny?
I also hate this episode because the first four episodes of season 12 are all good, and this one breaks with the tradition. The episode right before this one,ย "American Nightmare", stands in especially stark contrast. Itโs smart, eery, believable, psychological, has some great twists, and character development both by Dean and Sam. But this is not the place to gush, I went into the rant to rant.
At least theย โDean killed Hitlerโ episode has got Samโs pretty face going for it, but thatโs literally its only redeeming feature.ย
