Ingredients: 2 lbs fresh green beans, trimmed and snapped. 6 slices bacon, diced. 1 small onion, chopped. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 cup chicken broth. 1 tablespoon brown sugar. 1 teaspoon salt. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes. 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika.
Instructions: Cook diced bacon in a pan until it gets crispy. Take it off and let it dry on paper towels. Put chopped onion and minced garlic in the same pan and cook them until they get soft. Put the slow cooker on high and add the cooked bacon, onions, and garlic. Trim the green beans and put them in the slow cooker. Add chicken broth to the green beans. Add salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, brown sugar, and smoked paprika to the green beans. Gently stir all the ingredients together. Low heat for 6 to 8 hours, or until green beans are soft. Cover.
