If you're going to be self-sustainable, quite frankly chickens are a must. They're one of the easiest animals to look after if you have a garden. If they're left to roam around they just eat all the bugs they can find, but you can of course provide them with scraps and food pellets. ๐ I never thought I'd want to have chickens again after our failed attempts years ago. We've learnt a lot from those early mistakes. Now we love them and it's actually really peaceful to just be out with them. My eldest has definitely taken to them, and you often find her sitting in the garden with them. They help her calm down and just find some peace. ๐ We regularly share what we've learnt about our chickens on our YouTube channel - Roe's in the East. You should go and check it out and find out who's the boss of our hen house. ๐ณ ๐ Each chicken has a unique character. Do you have chickens? What are they're characters like? ๐ Subscribe to our channel to be kept up to date on what we get up to at Roe Cottage. . . #splendid_animals #backyardhens #raisinghens #fresheggs #selfsustainableliving #selfreliant #victorygarden #growforbritain #suffolkgarden #quarantinelife #lockdown2020 #roesintheeast #mentalhealth #lovechickens #lovelife #doterraUK #selfsustainableliving (at Lakenheath) https://www.instagram.com/p/CBANjBZHl4N/?igshid=ugztallwqrk5
