why is the contrast so fucked here, thatās not the scannerās fault it is just like that

MATT CHATS: Greg Rucka on Creator-Owned, Collaboration & ExtraĀ Content
Greg Rucka has been on a tearĀ lately. Not only has he written two Star Wars novels and a comic book series set post-Empire, heās also been impressingĀ in the creator-owned sphere. Lady Sabre, Lazarus and Stumptown continue running on all cylinders, and his newest series, Black Magick with Nicola Scott, recently launched to great acclaim. I talked to Greg about his experience at Image, all theā¦

Does the magazine contain everything in the comic-size version, or is there something special and unique in each format?
The magazine has everything in the regular-sized version, along with some additional content. All told, thereās 8 pages of backmatter in the regular-size, and 28 pages of backmatter in the magazine. TWENTY-EIGHT?! I did the math a bunch of times, and also I worked on it, and I can hardly believe it myself.

The moment the creators of Holy F*ck met for the first time, 100% completely realistically truthily depicted in the backmatter of Holy F*cked #1.
Hey man, what's the Backmatter?
If you are going to a local comic book emporium this fine day, might I interest you in the latest issue of "Morning Glories"? Not only does it come with 8 beautiful covers for you to pick from (pictured above) and not only does it come withĀ 40 pages of comic in a big double-sized Season Two kick-off priced at $3.99, butĀ it alsoĀ comes with 6 pages written by me! 4 of those are illustrated by Andrea VasquezĀ and all of them are things that we've worked hard on.
I'm a big fan of backmatter. I already think that single issues have a great amount of value to the average comic collector, but additional backing material primarily found in creator-owned books take that value and multiply it exponentially. The stuff Brian Wood puts in "The Massive" with Justin Giampaoli, Fraction's essays in "Casanova," Casey's in "Sex," Bendis' No Life lists in "Powers", the various essays Brubaker curates for all his books with Philips... this is can't miss stuff.Ā Hopefully, despite the non-personal nature of the writing, you can worm the "Morning Glories" backmatter into that list of Great Reasons To Buy Single Issues Of Comics We Love?
And, I'll note: there areĀ zero plans to ever reprint this stuff elsewhere. They're single issue exclusive. People have been asking me to do a print version of Study Hall and I've said no. Except here, where I've clearly said yes. So enjoy it! You know you want to have "Morning Glory Babies" in your comic collection at the very least. Andrea killed it.
But, most importantly, just do it to support the hard and amazing work of Nick, Joe, Rodin, Alex, Johnny and Tim -- they're the real reason to buy the book month in and month out, and that is no different now. I'm just the guy in the back of the party saving you a seat on the Sober Kid's Couch in case you want to talk about stuff.
"Morning Glories" #27, super-sized at $3.99, is in stores and available digitally now.
i have no regrets <because they are pointless to me> but i will say that choosing the name 'mister X' (in 1991-far before i could realize it would be rather generic in an internet-saturated world) MAY have been a miscalculation...
