Guang was not surprised to see the local rink wasnât empty as he was used to rinks being because it was a public rink after all and people were free to come and go as they pleased. He was, however, surprised to see a skater heâd not personally met but was fairly familiar with over social media and through the otherâs he followed and interacted with at competitions. Mila Babicheva a Russian skater who was being coached by Yakov the very man who also coached Yuri Plisetsky and Viktor, she skated as elegantly as heâd had seen through videos online, but the videos really didnât do her any justice. It was hard to take his eyes off her because there was so much he could learn just by watching her. Guang almost took a seat  with the full intent of just watching her until she had finished instead but remembered that he was also here to practice and didnât have much time before he needed to return back to his place. So he sits near the edge of the rink and laces up his skates working up the extra nerve to announce his presence so he wonât startle her or throw her off while sheâs skating.
He raises his head once his skates are laced, âDo you,â he hesitates for a second and raises his voice a bit more so he knows heâll be heard, âdo you mind if I join you?â
