Boogie Wonderland!

As you guys have seen, my activity hasn’t been the greatest mainly because of school. Now it’s a bit more lax since all marks are being sent to universities tomorrow, but I’m still not going to be around as often during the group’s hiatus.

As of this moment, my remaining muses ( @facebeetred, @foolslittlesister, and @sailingaway) are on hiatus until further notice.

However, this doesn’t mean I won’t be checking in from time to time. While I may have archived all of my threads on the RP Thread Tracker, stupid move on my part, I know now and have to go fishing for them again, I am still more than willing to continue threads during the group’s hiatus. I’ll message everyone I currently have threads with, and ask whether or not you want me to reply during this period. If you don’t mind me taking a break and not replying, I thank you. I also thank you if you’ll want me to continue the thread, because then I’ll see that you enjoy it. No matter what your response is, I’ll be happy with it!

I’m also up for starting new threads, whether they’re still set in Rouves or if it’s an AU. For this I won’t be asking around, and this is the only post I’ll make about it. If you’d like a new thread, please send an ask to my personal ( @cheekblown), not an IM because I won’t see it! Just send the info with which muse and what kind of starter and I’d be more than happy to write it up~

If anybody needs to contact me, whether if it’s for threads or questions in general or just to talk, the easiest ways will be either through my Skype (if you don’t already have it, my Skype name is the same as my personal), my personal, or another one of my RP blogs ( @fenneirologist) that is affiliated with a different group totally not promoing that group here, but you should check it out ;)

I wish everyone the best of luck during the group’s hiatus! And remember: it’s a hiatus, not the end of the world, so don’t get discouraged! It will be back (along with moi~) at the beginning of June, with something a bit more… interesting… To make sure that everyone sees this, I will reblog this to all of my RP blogs affiliated with this group, so sorry not sorry for the spamming.

“An amazing skater like you doesn’t have a shameful past.  When you make fun of yourself, you’re also making fun of me for looking up to you all this time.  Tomorrow, I’m gonna give it everything I’ve got.  If you’re the skater I think you are, so will you.  You slack off, I won’t forgive you!”

Watching the boy bound toward her, Ara could only blink in embarrassment  as she felt her cheeks flush with heat. He heard her. This place was practically isolated? How loudly did she yell??? How many people heard???? Aaaaaa???

She fumbled, yanking her bag back onto her shoulder. The most of a response she managed to get out though was a mumble that sounded vaguely like “Mmhmm.” Admitting it out loud was harder than accepting it in her head, Ara realized, wincing.  

(Now would be a great time to be swallowed by the ground, thanks in advance.)

Finally managing to pull herself together, she cleared her throat pointedly before she trusted herself to speak again. 

“Unfortunately I seem to be just as lost as you, if not more…” She found herself cracking a smile at the boy’s enthusiasm and managed to relaxed a little. “But yes, that would be nicer than being lost alone.”

Then, for propriety’s sake and to fill in the potential awkward gap of silence, she dipped forward in a quick bow as she introduced herself. 

“I’m Ara, nice to meet you.”

“I’m Kenjirou Minami!” he pointed to himself proudly with his thumb. “And it’s so, so, so, so, so, so, so nice to meet you, Ara!” For a split second he thought how cool it would be if she recognized him. After all, he did win first place in the All Japan Championship just last year. Still, most people didn’t, since nobody really remembered figure skaters that well, unless they skating otakus. Even then, it was doubtful that last year’s winner would be remembered.

“Truth be told, I’ve been living in this city for a while now, but I still have no idea where everything is. Bellevue is so big and so confusing. Too bad my phone died. And I was about to take the perfect selfie and post it on Instagram!  Why must life be so cruel,” Kenjirou swooned dramatically for effect. But in all honesty, it was a waste of a nice picture. Just thinking of the wasted opportunity brought the tiniest of tears to his eyes, not big enough to be noticeable.

Speaking of eyes, his brown ones also caught sight of a small cafe, just on the other end of the street. And cafes, or at least decent cafes, always had rows of tiny caked and doughnuts. The thought of all the carbs he wasn’t supposed to eat made his mouth salivate. There was nobody here to tell him that he shouldn’t eat that. Not his parents, not his brother, not his coach. The only ones that would know would be Ara, and his guilty subconscious. Although the latter didn’t matter. He didn’t have doughnuts for so long, and he really wanted one now!

Ice Skating was never something Saber thought could actually be a job, is was suffice to say that was thrown back into her face long ago by her spouse when they won a small competition for prize money. Saber was always able to see the fun in the skaters faces though there was one specific reason she never went out and tried to skate herself. Though being very graceful and always concerned about the skater when something bad happened and they messed up, it definitely something Saber got worked up over, Saber was actually horrible at keeping balance while in motion on something that was not her own feet and that was the main reason she hardly did anything that moved her by momentum. Even with this in mind Saber would occasionally come by the ice skating rink in the coliseum after her performances were done to watch either a game of hockey or the ice skaters. Today it seemed to be a Figure Skater.

It honestly was hard for Saber to tell the difference between a normal skater and a figure skater, but only called them by the outfits they wore, if it was flashy they were figure skater to her. Saber watched quietly from the side she wasn’t even aware of the smile on her face the way the person moved reminded Saber of her spouse and that made Saber watch only more intensely. Each move was landed almost perfectly, at least from what she could tell. “Such grace and elegance…i would love to take the stage from them someday.” Of course this was Saber’s mind went to when thinking about elegance she lived for two things and one of them was to show up people and steal the spotlight for herself, though she knew that was one spot light that she wasn’t going to be able to take easily. “Hum…i wonder how they do it..maybe it’s something to do with adjusting the skates?”

This weekend was different though. Kenjirou could feel the motivation flowing through him to get out and skate for once, and not just laze around or panic about how hard it was without parents. Also, there was the fact that his coach, Odagaki-san, had come all the way to Rouves just to overlook his self training a bit.

Kenjirou skated around the ice a bit, doing small jumps here and there. Even though he had meant for all of them to be triples, they ended up being either double or single jumps. He felt nervous, probably because Odagaki-san was watching him so intensely. She was going to report all of this back to his parents, and then when they heard he was slacking on his training, they were going to force him to go back to Japan, and then he’d have no chance of winning the next Grand Prix Final, and, and... 

He needed to calm down. What would Yuuri do in this situation? When in doubt, Kenjirou always thought of his idol. After all, Yuuri was cool, graceful, and pretty much everything Kenjirou wasn’t. And, in this situation, he would probably do a quad to show just how great he really was.

In a split second, he decided he was going to attempt one himself. He was definitely going to land it! And then Odagaki-san was going to see just how much he improved! Even though Kenjirou had barely landed the previous jumps, he felt hyped up to do a quad.

She looked around at the tangle of streets and lanes and whatnots, and finally admitted that, yes, she was hopelessly, hopelessly lost.

…Now, just for memory purposes. How many times had this happened this week already?

 She tried retracing her steps, then when that didn’t work, basically went and followed the crowd in of finding some sort of landmark. That tactic proved to be in vain, as it only made her even more disorientated. Now standing in a rather isolated area, Ara cast her gaze to the sky, eyes narrowed, as if it would help her to get her bearings.

She shouldn’t be that far away from home right? She’d only been walking for about…thirty minutes or so, and taken a few turns down a few streets…Or, that’s what it felt like, at the very least. But one could probably argue that her sense of time was just as bad as her sense of direction.

The sun was getting rather dangerously close to the horizon. It would be best if she moved quickly. Ara sighed heavily. Honestly? She was going to download some sort of map on her phone as soon as she got back, or get an actual physical copy if it came down to it. Because the way it was going, she was going to have to get an SOS flare for every time she stepped out of the door.

But point being!! She was tired and hungry and just wanted to get home! She dumped her bag on the ground in an uncharacteristic display of frustration, and in a fit of anger, hollered into the sky:

It was actually perfect weather for a selfie, especially since the wind slightly rustled his hair, making it look like it had slightly more volume, but not enough wind to make it look unkept. The sun was also starting to set, creating brilliant hues in the sky, which would have been the perfect background. Wait a second... the sun was setting?! It was already that late?! Kenjirou had to get home. Quick. He had promised his mom when he moved to Bellevue that they would Skype everyday at 21:00, mainly so that she could be assured that he was home before it was too dark outside. And now he couldn’t even check what time it was because his phone was dead.

And where was he even? Since Kenjirou spent most of his time between school, home, and the skating rink, he had never really bothered to learn the layout of the rest of the city. Everything around him looked unfamiliar, but hopefully he would be able to find a subway station with a map. Ah, if only his phone wasn’t dead! Then Kenjirou would have been able to simply Google how to get home!

“I hate my non-existent sense of direction! I hate my equally bad sense of time! Just let me get home already!!”

“AAAAnnndddd…Done!”  After sewing the last button onto the final costume for commission, she folds it into neat squares and mentally gives herself a part on the back for another job well done~

The silver-eyed girl was just about to head out to get some cardboard boxes to pack them in when her phone suddenly went off. With a swipe of her fibger across the screen, the device lights up and shows a notification from her website, a new request already? She’s not complaining though~ Ruby is always eager to make another.

Judging from the email it seems to be a first time customer. An ice skating costume, huh? Well that’s new…She’s never really done one before. But it’s a challenge she was willing to take~ It’s 2017 now after all! It’s about time she tried something new anyways.

First of I wish to thank you for choosing my services~ You are the first to request me this kind of costume so this will be my first time making it, but I’ll do my best and make sure that the costume will be to your liking ^^

But first, I wish to talk to you about the particular design that you’d like for the costume

Moments after he had sent the email, Kenjirou had fallen asleep, head resting on his keyboard. Being a student was tiring, but being a student that figure skated was even more tiring. He hadn’t even thought of the possibility that the person would give him a reply so quickly. The boy thought that at earliest the person would reply by the next day. Still, it was no excuse for falling asleep in front of the computer screen.

A loud ding came from the computer speakers, waking up Kenjirou from his small nap, and setting him into a state of panic (served him right for keeping the volume at max). For a second he thought that it was already morning and time to rush to school. Then he realized it was just the computer notification telling him that he had a new email.

A particular design? He had never even thought of that. All he knew was that he wanted a costume that was completely unique to him, and that could show just how amazing the new and improved Kenjirou Minami will be. Well, if he ever becomes new and improved.

    It was a rest day for Mila and she decided to spend it by going window shopping. It was probably afternoon now and she had a few paper bags at hand already when she stopped in front of a boutique. It was a dress shop that had a beautiful red dress on display.

    Her attention was taken away by someone tapping her shoulder, she faced towards that direction and her eyes widened slightly. She had seen him before, but where?. 

    “I do?” Mila blinked, “A competition? Yes, I’m a figure skater.” She smiled. “You look quite familiar to me as well, have we met?”

“You’re a figure skater?!?!?!” So that’s where he knew her from! Of course, Kenjirou watched every single competition, be it big or small, religiously. If there was a competition somewhere in the world, you could bet that Kenjirou was watching it, cheering on everyone with his pom poms!

“Guess what, guess what, guess what! Me too! Isn’t it so cool that we’re both skaters! Of course, I’ve only been in competitions in Japan... so I don’t think we’ve actually met before. But I’m going to try my hardest now that I’m in Rouves to win competitions outside of the country!” He was excited. Way too excited. He had heard that a bunch of figure skaters had come to Rouves, like him, but he had never expected to actually meet one just casually strolling down the street. Even though he was a skater himself, for some reason Kenjirou always thought that the pros would be practically impossible to find if they weren’t on the ice.
