i have such mixed feelings about the icon wheel because 1) everything looks so cool and exciting and pretty, and i love the identities of the gods you figured out 2) i was really hoping inanna might make an appearance so they and baal could be in love again in this incarnation D: 3 and like ik a lot of the fandom/canon leans towards the reincarnation aspect not being real, they're just random peeps given the powers, but STILL. the idea of a reincarnated baananna love story GETS ME SO BAD

You say “baananna” and I’m already there, this is my jam. Honestly, when 1831 was about to show up I really wished for some potential baananna, but then i didnt, because well, 1831 Innanna turned out to be someone totally different from our Inanna. Andas the book goes on, with all the reveals I can see why, as you said, most people lean towards reincarnation not being real. To be honest, id be kind of dissapointed if it ended up with “the godly names are only a gimmick ananke uses for manipulating kids that are given fire/lightning/chtonic power”, this would be such a cynical waste and i actually hope theres something deeper to the in-world mythology.
And the idea of reincarnated baananna gets me too! its such a great prompt for a UA (because not exactly AU, a lot of in-world mythology can still be used to create THE ANGST) super fucking angsty fic which i am never gonna write just like im never gonna write other baananna and wicdiv ideas i find cool also this fandom needs more fics but whatever
