Let me be niche for a second: B Jones is a Spanish DJ who was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year after a tumor was discovered on her spine.
She is playing at Tomorrowland right now, and it's the first time the festival has ever had a DJ play from her wheelchair. Honestly, I think it's the first time any major festival has had a DJ perform from her wheelchair.
Her set is shorter than the regular Tomorrowland sets (usually around one hour but hers will be around forty minutes) her deck is lower to accommodate for her chair, and the controllers seem to be closer as well since she cannot move as freely.
I'm glad that such a major festival put in the effort to make these arrangements because if they can make such grand stages, they can afford to lower the deck and make it so a DJ can safely get on and off the stage in a wheelchair.
It clearly means a lot to her and the crowd.
It was a great set, and we can have a lot more of them if we continue to make events accessible.
