“I have had a great experience with this build and am glad it has satisfied all my requirements. I was also able to install Ubuntu and it is working smoothly.

Most of all it is a beast when it comes to gaming. Crysis 3, Crysis 2, Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty - Ghosts all worked smoothly on maxed out settings at about 30-45 fps. Assassins Creed Unity worked at 37 fps on max settings.

The laptop does not heat up very fast either. With these specs this laptop should be able to run games for at least 2 years at an amazing price vs. performance ratio. Customer service and delivery was also really prompt and helpful.

I also have the option to change my graphic card when I feel I might need a better one in the future. Overall I am very satisfied and strongly recommend buying the Azom Exigo.” - Manu

“ My search for laptop began when my 6 year old laptop (Compaq Preserio CQ-40) started to give to lot of problems, then I knew it's time to get a new laptop. Being a programmer, I started to search for a laptop which would be perfect for gaming and programming. Then while searching for laptops, I entered the world of customized laptops and I saw many brands there like Gigabyte, Sager, etc. But these laptops were either not available in India or they were too expensive.

Then I found about Azom Exigo on Amazon.

All the reviews were suggesting that I should go for this Laptop. Spoke to Harsh from Azom team and he explained all the features of the bare bone. Took the decision and bought this laptop.

PROS

Amazing customization option i.e. including CPU, GPU etc can be upgraded and that too company can arrange the parts for you.

Back-lit keyboard with various color options and keyboard is sturdy.

Ram up-gradable to 32 GB.

CPU & GPU are not soldered.

Bare-bone is built by Clevo which is  a reputed company worldwide, Azom was the first company to bring mobility custom solutions in India

870M is one of the best in this price range,you can play all the games in high/ultra settings. I tried Far Cry 4 in high settings and I was able to get about 50 FPS. Azom also provides option for upgrading gpu to Maxwell in future if you want to.

Display is perfect,viewing angles are great.

Battery life 4 hours for normal usage,1 to 1.5 hours when gaming, well it's normal for any gaming laptop so no complaints here.

CONS

Speakers are not that great, but it doesn't matter to me. I haven't tried the sub-woofers yet.

Touch-pad is little hard to use.

Very good support from Azom and I specially would like to thanks Harsh from Azom team.

I have ordered the machine with windows 8.1, there was some driver compatibility issue with Intel wireless on my current Wi-Fi setup. It gave me a lot of problem. But here comes Azom support for rescue. Not only they have helped me to resolve the issue,  but they even provided me an external wireless adapter till the issue was resolved with the drivers. I am really happy with their support. Overall i am very happy with my purchase.

Now I am thinking If I would have waited for sometime, I could have opted for a 970M. Nevertheless, this laptop still is a beast and I can upgrade my 870M to 970M anytime.

“ Hmm..OK...How do i start.. Well my search for Laptop began when I shifted to Pune from Mumbai for Job. Being a Gamer I wanted a laptop with the best price vs. performance ratio.

I goggled for gaming laptop which gave me brands to choose from 1.Alienware 2.Asus 3.MSI 4.Gigabyte 5.Lenovo But what I found was all the brand Models available in India either had outdated specs or were over priced compared to global standards.

So that brought me to importing Laptops from abroad ,either the branded ones or the assembled ones like - 1.Xoticpc 2.Originpc 3.maingear 4.Sager notebook 5.Clevo 6.CyberPowerPc 7.Xidax 8.There might be more but i don't know. Now the core challenge was that these laptops are cheaper but they cost around 200-300 USD  for shipping and on the top of that you have to pay custom duty that would be around 25% of the total amount. With the additional cost I am paying on import,I can easily buy another budget laptop in India. Then i heard about Azom, thought a lot of course and gave it a try. I contacted the team, let them know my requirement , finalized the configuration, place the order and tada.... 4th day i received the product. Here's what I think: Packaging: 5/5 Nice and safe packaging which is a must. It did surprise me with the kind of Packaging it Had. 1.] CPU: CPU is awesome. i7 4710 MQ - 4 Cores 8 Threads is better than i7 4710 HQ which is provide by other brands 2.] RAM: 8 GB DDR3 1600 MHz RAM is more than sufficient for gaming. Mine is 4x2 3.] GPU: 3 GB Geforce GTX 870M can comfortably play the latest games in 1080p and again its better that 860m provided by other brands which are highly priced. 4.] Hard Disk: 500 GB 5400 RPM . Well that was my personal choice just to cut the cost a bit. 5.] Sound: Its good. Better than what i thought it would be. 6.] Keyboard and Touch pad: This is the unique feature of this laptop. Very beautiful looking, back lit and customizable with multicolor options. Touch pad is good and responsive. 7.] Display: 15.6 inch full HD 1080p display. and has a Matte Finish. Didn't find any cons on this either 8,] Connectivity: Have used Wireless and Bluetooth. Worked Perfectly. No problems 9.] Design: Design wise it looks a little bulky and is heavier than i thought it would be but if you want a healthy laptop i think good exhausts are necessary. 10.] Battery: Very average battery life on this laptop is maximum 2 hours 45 minutes to 3 hours. But i always keep it plugged. As i said i just need it for gaming. I don't carry it around. 11.] Optical Drive: I was asked if i needed one and I said yes. Working good too. No Problems. 12.] Services: Well this is why everyone is scared of buying laptops other than branded one. But let me elaborate my experience - I bought this with no OS installed. I use Windows 7 ultimate but the Drivers CD i got was for Windows 8. So the very next day i called the Azom team (Harsh) and let them know about the drivers. In 48Hours, I receive a call from Harsh confirming Windows 7 Driver are available for download and are around 4.5 GB.

Now i live in a hostel where there is no Wireless Connection. The only Internet connection i had was 3G on mobile. It was not feasible for me to download 4.5GB through mobile. The only other option was to wait till week end , so I could travel back to Mumbai and use my home internet.

However, the same  evening i received a call from tech specialist who stays in pune and works for the company. He had already downloaded the drivers on USB and handed over to me for installation.Didn’t have to wait till week end to get the system up and running. My point is that they are very supportive. You can just drop a message and they call you back for any technical assistance required. Phew... A quick look on the Yea Yea's and No No's: Pros: Value for Money. Definitely !  Looks good with that matte finish  Keyboard Back light, Crispy Buttons  Amazing Support from the team all the time. Cons: Bulky, Heavy (not much of a problem for me though)  Battery Life (not a problem for me again)  :P Conclusion: Overall  I am happy with the product. Serves the purpose built for. “ - Vinit
