Day 5 of @inuyashapridemonth gives us AyaKag, so I did a kind of moody, darker modern piece.

She understood, she supposed. Pretty eyes, fair skin and shiny hair caught attention.

Ayame approached her, the one who stole hearts and fiance's, but she hadn’t expected her to light up at her appearance.

“Oh! I have something for you.” Kagome dug through her satchel, triumphant when she drew out a bright, too-perfect flower. “It’s called an Indigo Princess.”

Ayame took the proffered flower by its rigid stem. Her brows rose, and she rubbed the silken petal – strange, resilient – and repeated the name under her breath.

“Fit for a princess.” Kagome beamed, and Ayame’s face flamed.

While June is typically the time to celebrate Pride, the world is kind of scary right now: so to bring everyone a little bit of joy, we’re declaring April an impromptu Inuyasha Pride Month!
