“How much did you spend on your AX table this year?”
I never really see what others spend, which would’ve given me a good general idea of what to expect in the past... so I thought I’d share this year (2017) in case it could help anyone think and plan for next year! - I split a table this year (with the very talented @jadematica); my combined cost for the half table and badge was about $222. - I own a button machine + puncher (which I already have “payed off”), and the display grid and table cloth were already covered. However, I did buy more button parts (1000, because they’re cheaper per unit that way, and I know I’ll go through them eventually). That was $89 with the shipping. - My ordered prints from Catprint were $59.82 with shipping included (I could’ve ordered more, but I still had leftovers from last year). - Good paper I bought to make late prints and reprints with my roommates’ printer was about $37.49 with shipping included. - I ordered 40 stickersheets for $25, with shipping included. - 250 Business cards for $15.21, with shipping included. - About $12 for plastic sleeves/bags for prints. - About $56 spent altogether for parking, and that was with splitting the cost with roommates/tablemates. A lot of money was saved by carpooling and by getting there early to park under the convention center itself. - For button sheets/paper, about $14.22 (I printed most of these at work with a discount). - I bought a phone charger (didn’t want to risk not being able to take square payments) for about $12. SO. That totals out to about $543 (more than I initially thought, lmao, but I’ll be reusing a lot of this stuff for the next con too, like my leftover sleeves/prints/buttonsheets/phonecharger/buttonparts/etc). Hope this helps someone plan ahead!
