No. You think it'd be the most embarrassing, but I promise I can do worse.

That first week will be terrible. You'll have to keep it covered with a bandage just to keep the blister from breaking, or to keep the cut from getting infected.

Of course, you wouldn't need to worry about that. I've had lots of practice with wound care, so you'll just need to relax and let me tend to it. I'll even put a big pretty bandaid on it. Something with lots of colors to draw everyone's eyes.

Who will ask first about it I wonder? I bet you can even imagine a few people that wold. "Oh what happened?!" They'd rush to ask.

I haven't told you otherwise, so you could lie about it. You dropped some oil on your hand while cooking, or maybe cut yourself moving something you shouldn't have. You could lie and say it was an accident and it'd be so easy to just wallow in the sympathy they give you. But then you have to consider. The bandage will come off eventually. You've only bought yourself time. They'll see the burn is too perfect a circle. The cut too perfect and how did you end up with one there? Why does it look like a little "L"

So maybe instead you'll tell them the truth. That the older woman you've been seeing got a bit too rough one night.

I hate how much I love the idea of that spilling past your lips. The idea of the concern and worry in their expression. I wonder if one might say "See? I told you she was bad for you."

And you think that will be the worst. With your cheeks red hot, people looking at you with naked concern in their eyes.

The worst embarrassment will be when I parade you in front of my friends.

My friends, who know what you are.

My friends, that smile like hyenas as I strip you bare in front of them.

I'll have you hold still in front of them as I tell them how proud I am of you. How far you've come in my training. How hard you worked to hold still so my mark would be clear when I carved it into your body.
