to continue my tradition of mdzs height posting, another character besides mo xuanyu who is routinely and unjustly described as tiny: Wen Qing.
according to the officially released heights, she and jin guangyao are roughly the same size. about five and a half feet tall.
which is on the small side for a man even in china, though not in medieval china, and is ofc loads smaller than the ridiculous giants making up most of the cultivator elite, but is not actually a small person.
that's statistically above average for a woman even in the modern US; in modern china it is often hard for women that height to find off-the-rack clothes. in a historical chinese setting she is mildly gargantuan. five foot six is a positively unmaidenly height.
wei wuxian (as i've previously discussed) is slightly over six feet tall at his original full growth, which is stupid tall even when you're an aristocrat who didn't starve as a child. wen qing is, in turn, too tall for wei wuxian to hook his chin over her head, even if he stands on his toes, unless she ducks.
he's got maybe more than half a head on her. she could headbutt him in the nose from a standing start, as could most adult men because he's a freak.
wen qing would walk among a group of normal-in-context women like a turkey among hens. she is not tiny.
i know cql kind of made her look that way, but in fairness their version of lan wangji is a stick of no great height also. and even on cql she's not particularly small, just exceedingly pale and slim with big eyes. i truly do not know why it's so popular to conceptualize her as teeny-tiny, except maybe for the contrast value. it's not even hornyposting.
I saw your DD graph asking for other ideas, so... if you still have any desire to do further Dracula graphs I'd be curious to see how the word count per character breaks down (not how much they speak but how much they write. Adding all their diary entries together, etc.). Obviously Mina wins by default from having typed up the whole novel but outside of that detail, how much did each person author?
Thank you so much for this ask! What an interesting data set this one is! Lots of unexpected information.
So first off, if you just want to visualize the author breakdown, ta-dahhhh!
Seward was staunchly in the lead, talking his head off and burning through those wax recording drums like no ones business. Poor Mina for having to transcribe it all. In total his words made up 39.3% of Dracula. Nearly 40%!
Seward unsurprisingly had the most individual entries overall at 47, and had the longest streak for being the narrator in an entry at 10 days (09/02 - 09/11) with Mina following right behind at 9 days (08/10 - 08/19)
Mina surprisingly was 3rd overall both in word count and number of entries. She wasn't even in the top 3 for most words in a day which is as follows.
1 - Seward October 3rd - 9942 words
2 - Seward September 29th - 7206 words
3 - Jonathan October 3rd - 5944 words
Van Helsing only had 9 entries total but still came in number 4 for word count, in front of Lucy. It's interesting to note that the amount a person writes doesn't correlate to the amount of time they are being written about/appear. Which is why Arthur and Quincey don't even beat out the newspaper clippings for words, lol.
There are lots of authors we only hear from a single time, like Sister Agatha. So I've decided to make a small fry pie as well. (Authors under ~500 words)
The captain of the Demeter and Van Helsing both had more days written than Lucy! Though I didn't break up number of entries, like when the log of the Demeter had 3 or 4 on one day or Lucy wrote a letter and in her diary.
If there is any data I haven't presented here that you're interested in feel free to tag me or shoot me an ask like this lovely person did!

More Avenues ( and a guy who’s everyone favorite ) in spider-sona universe
I need to take a break and go draw something else a bit
Had a random thought Pokemon-wise. Specifically, if you were to design a Pokedex for a brand new region, what ones would you include? (And by that I mean in the regional 'dex, not the National Dex, which should probably be called the Global Dex at this point.)
Then I decided to see what limits should be put on that.
The smallest Regional Dex is Kanto's, which has 151(+2 in Let's Go!), with the highest number of new Pokemon added belonging to Unova at 156.
The largest Regional Dex depends on how you count it, as the two largest are both split in three Sub-regional Pokedexes: Kalos at 457 (Central: 153, Coastal: 153, Mountain: 151) and Galar at 630 (Though Galar confuses the matter by doubling up on Pokemon between its sub-regions, with those doubles removed it's mainland: 400, Isle of Armour: 107, and Crown Tundra: 123), with Kalos adding the least number of new Pokemon at 72.
If you count each Sub-regional Dex as its own, though, the largest Regional Dex is Ultra Alola at 403 (101 more than the original Alola games), with Gen VII introducing 88 new Pokemon.
So, not including the currently unknown numbers for the upcoming Paldea region, that gives us an average Regional Dex size of 318 with an average of 113.125 new Pokemon (decimal places included for accuracy).
So, if you were making a new region, how big would the Dex be and what old Pokemon would you include?
