Important Info
Hey so anyone who was following my old blog ( @sunflowertrans ) might have noticed a few things
my pronouns on this blog are different
my gender in my about is ‘no’
i’ve dropped calling myself ‘boy’
i tagged a selfie of mine as ‘agender’
So why is that? I mean last you heard i was a well-adjusted trans guy, almost 8 months on T, so what's going on? Whats going on is basically: i plan to stop taking hormones and am unsure of how will label myself from here on out. For now, i’m going with Agender but i don’t know how long that will last.
The truth is, although i don’t identify with being a girl at all, i felt more forced into the binary than anything else. Im not uncomfortable with the way my body is 8 months into HRT but im concerned that much longer will do more harm than good. I want you to know, that this is heartbreaking for me. It’s not easy to do and honestly, i feel like i let the trans community down. When it comes down to it, my happiness is one of my highest priorities and I always try to do what will make me happy. It’s hard to know, though, exactly what that is. But based on personal feelings I think that for who I am now, this is the best choice.
I’m sick of trying to be ‘one or the other’ when I am neither. I want to wear skirts and have short hair, i want to eat an entire taco at once, i want to shave my leg hair, dye my armpit hair green, I want to be unapologetically, fully, me.
It's got everything: Cody with a jetpack, Anakin eating live bugs, everyone being chaotic as hell and, of course, Obi-Wan's 101 microexpressions of disappointment
Forest is home, forest is shelter, forest is safety..... forest is full of goddamn ticks that give you deadly diseases
Like you may be wondering why im always so pernickety about people's heights (and general physical characteristics) in fanworks but its just the amount of times i have seen works that project weird homophobic stereotypes on people, making one character shorter and the other one taller to represent some made-up dichotomy bc people think sex positions are character traits..... its insanely pervasive in practically all fandoms i have ever consumed fanworks in.
And whats worse is that its almost always combined with some sort of racist trope in the case of characters of colour.
You read stuff about Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes and people change their heights depending on who they perceive as a "top", creating a height gap, despite the actors being the same height.
You put Obi-Wan next to any of the characters played by Temuera Morrison and suddenly Ewan Mcgregor is a feeble twink and Temuera Morrison towers over him, despite him being considerably shorter than the other man in real life.
Even in the case of Yusuf and Nicolò from The Old Guard. Like yes, Marwan Kenzari is indeed taller than Luca Marinelli - by three entire centimetres!! (I know, the difference is astonishing /s). But the way Nicky is sometimes described next to Joe is as if people have never even looked at a picture of the two of them standing next to each other - the power of racism and homophobia combined is amazingly blinding!
Anyway, stop projecting your weird stereotypes on people and look at what they actually look like for a change - I guarantee a much more rewarding experience.

Wake up in the morning and put on my glasses just to read another bout of insane tumblr drama that happened during the night like a grandpa reading a newspaper
Actually im really tired of cishet authors' obsession with ambiguously queer stories that make them pat themselves on the back for breaking the norms, disrupting binaries etc.
Sth sth sitting at a dinner table heavy and overflowing with culinary delights, throwing a couple of breadcrumbs at poor people and then getting called generous bc of it
Like yall dont seem to understand how annoying that shit is. Do you really think you're being groundbreaking??? Why is it always the queerness that gets to be ambiguous???
