It has been a wonderful and heart-warming day celebrating Diwali with our team. Our chairman led the Lakshmi puja with wishes of health, wealth, and success for every member of the team and their loved ones.

As we celebrate the most auspicious day of this colourful and flavorful festival, Automech wishes you and your family a Happy Onam filled with the spirit of happiness, love, and prosperity.

HUMANS OF AUTOMECH —————————- On this month’s edition of the ‘Humans of Automech’, we were honoured to have with us, the founder and chairman of the ‘Automech Group’, Mr. Jagjit Gouri.  

“I’ve always had an unquantifiable passion to do great, and I’ve always believed God will show us the way,” he says. Hailing from a business family, he’s one of 7 siblings and is happy to call Dubai his home for the last 40 years.

“In the year 1976, I took part in the Indian Machine Tools show in Dubai and was personally invited by the revered His Highness the late Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum to set up a base in Dubai,” he relates.

‘Gouri Trading Company’, was one of my first ventures, selling machine tools and other equipment.  Then in the year 1991, we started ‘Automech engineering’, which was geared towards the local shipping industry. Since its inception, we put all our hearts, sweat and tears into it, and our business grew by leaps and bounds… It gives me extreme joy to say that we were able to be a part of the greatest show on earth, the Expo Dubai 2020, as our team built the Mobility Pavilion. From humble beginnings of 10 employees, today we are a happy family of over 500 people.”

He further adds, “I strongly believe that our biggest asset is our people. I run Automech, along with my 3 sons who are blessed with sharp business acumen. They all share a wonderful camaraderie and they are equally involved in the business. All their hard work is palpable as they’ve have always had a clairvoyant vision of what we’ve wanted to achieve as a group. God has been really kind.”

“It has been a magnificent journey so far and we have been blessed with tremendous success over the years. The UAE Government has been extremely supportive and they have continued to give me, my family, and everyone at Automech, more opportunities to grow on a platform that embodies innovation and progress.”

We value the mental and physical health of our employees. In our efforts to support this vision, we aim to help our team by organizing yoga sessions at our facilities to educate them about the importance of breathing right and its effectiveness in increasing productivity and focus, while reducing exhaustion and burnout. We also believe that apart from the direct health benefits, shared enjoyment through socialization will enhance their overall well-being!

At the Automech Group, we value strong family ties. This Father’s Day we pay tribute to all the fathers who have dedicated their lives to serving our organization, and give special recognition to those who have left their home countries and sacrificed so much for the betterment of their children’s future.
