automatic typing
i think i need to take it to the streets. i'm checking this tumblr way too often. if there were like 100 other people typing as much as i have been then there might be enough to read. i hereby woobnotize you into writing your stream-of-consciousness thoughts whenever you realize you're horny and go on the tumblr you're on right now.
i mean if you think about it, hypnotizing someone into sitting there staring blankly isn't something you would expect to be hard. people do that with television anyhow, and most of it isn't exactly genius.
hypnotizing someone into something harder...like writing like this when you're horny, instead of just staring at things...would be a realer challenge i think. they struggle with this with students, since now everything is competing with sitting blankly & staring at a screen.
i believe, and in hypnosis i have experienced, that the mind is a far fiercer source of visions beautiful, curious & fascinating. sometimes, when i'm writing, i'll close my eyes for a minute without realizing, lost in a dream of something, thinking about being hypnotized. then i'll blink, and write down what i thought.
this sort of...slipping out, zoning out into a daydream for a moment, lost in following what you're thinking along the way it naturally goes, and then you blink, and then you write down what it was you happened to think about...it's very excellent. it feels excellent and i write a lot of things i like.
i wouldn't worry about spelling, grammar or punctuation. there isn't any need to read back over what you wrote and correct it. it's the honest report of your mind inside that moment, from that moment. however you instinctually, accidentally or unconsciously expressed, right away, what you were feeling, is the most illustrative.
i've seen and tried a few hypnosis videos doing automatic writing, and they were interesting, yet i haven't seen (that i can recall) automatic typing. handwriting is much more expressive, and so very interesting in person, yet typed things are much quicker to send, and for most people these days typing actually comes more naturally, is more of a muscle memory reflex thing, than handwriting.
so. a hypnotic typing video. after induction, you're asked to open a word document, an openoffice or google doc, and place your hands on the keyboard. you could be asked to type a number of things just as said, first: "am i hypnotized?" let yourself write yes, or no. "am i deeply hypnotized?" let yourself write yes, or no. "when was i hypnotized?" let yourself write, just now, or not yet. "how do i feel when i'm hypnotized," you could write, good, strange, different, funny, or i don't know, or something else you'd like to say.
"now, whether or not you think you're hypnotized, i'd like you to type the following letters, each as I say them."
d-e-e-p-l-y-soace-h-y-p-n-o-t-i-z-e-d
"press enter, and on the next line:"
h-y-p-n-o-t-i-c-space-t-r-a-n-c-e-period-space-z-o-n-e-d-space-o-u-t-period
"in a moment, i will snap my fingers, and just say, 'type.' when i do, your fingers will feel free to type every thought that comes into your head, as fast as they can. everything you've thought about being hypnotized, if it works, if it's working, if it worked on you, if you're hypnotized, or if you're not, you still can type your thoughts, when i snap my fingers and while the tone plays, for a minute -- *snap* now." [tone fades after a minute.]
"i would be curious, you know, to see what you wrote. if your fingers think that you were, are or weren't hypnotized. you could copy it into a comment, or send it to me on tumblr. i am very curious what you might have written, and if you think this worked.
