It's autocross, and I've finally gotten out of the house somewhere besides camping.
It was quite unusual to come to a car race for the first time and see it live, since I play GraTurismo and DiRT Rally, it was super interesting for me to watch the races live.

Brotherhood! Jax Solo family. See you all soon.
The 2024 Goodguys autocross season came to a dramatic finale, at the 27th Speedway Motors Goodguys Southwest Nationals, where Forgeline customers dominated the competition, winning 3 of the 5 class shootouts plus the coveted King of the Desert title.
The class shootouts started with the Pro-X class, where for the fourth year in a row, a Leisinger came out on top, thanks to Josh Leisinger's win in his Summit Racing-sponsored 1964 Chevrolet Corvette on Forgeline one piece forged monoblock GS1R wheels. In the Pro class, Bob Bertelsen took top honors with his 1968 Chevrolet Corvette on Forgeline forged three piece CV3C wheels. And in the Street Machine class, Andrew Chenowith took the title with his 1984 Chevrolet Corvette on Forgeline one piece forged monoblock GS1R wheels.
Congrats to all of the 2024 Duel in the Desert champions! Learn more at: https://www.forgeline.com/blog/congrats-to-the-2024-duel-in-the-desert-champions/31700
So auto x in the miata was interesting.. Porsche car club hosted it and it was not typical scca rules. They didn't prep the dusty lot at all which didn't help. The new rpf1s are nice but disappointed in the accelera 651 sport tires. 200 tread wear no way. .These felt like all seasons w/ a cool tread pattern. Hard as a rock compound, loud, no sidewall support, couldn't keep from sliding so I had to just go with it. Still got like 9th overall out of 40? Course layout was favorable to a small chassis like the miata. Def going to try out new tires next
