As you may know, my little guy Charlie is pre verbal, he's 7 and doesn't yet use words to talk, although we know he has plenty to say. Thank you so much to @nedintheclouds for everything you do to raise awareness and your fundraising with #autction is absolutely incredible 🖤🖤🖤 All profit goes to the @nationalautisticsociety from the sale of these pins. We have two limited edition pins to bring you, except half of them are missing (through no fault of our own!)! We have decided to go ahead and launch the ones we do have tonight! This is “Hear Me” designed by the incredible @akapeachie and available exclusively from @weareenoughco. A little while ago I posted a picture of Ned with just the phrase “Hear Me” underneath it on my feed and in stories. I received so many messages of just three words in return. “I hear you”. It blew me away. And I believed it. I really believed it. The pins are a reminder that not being able to speak is not the same as having nothing to say. They are a reminder to parents who are fighting for their children to not take no for an answer. To stand up and yell. For whatever they need. They are a reminder for all of us to have the courage of our convictions. To not be talked over. To shout loudly about the things we are passionate about and to never stop shouting. For equality. For fairness. For the vulnerable. For those who might not be able to shout as loud as we can from our place of privilege. For him. For her and for them. All the profits from the sale of these pins goes to the AUT:CTION fund and therefore the @nationalautisticsociety. Let them mostly be a reminder to listen to autistic people. Really listen to them. RM Auctions expects to sell the car for between $225,000-$300,000, about half of what the car originally cost. Pity the owner for selling, but praise the person buying!
