Happy autism acceptance month, everyone!!! :D

On the news I saw that they were talking about this thing called No Mow May where people don't mow their lawns in May because it's good for the bees. As an Autistic person I thought this was a great idea as I hate the sound of the wretched lawnmower.

I want be more open about bad part of my autism so people see it not all quirky or cutesy...

• I have bad body awareness so, (introception?) I dont notice body cues like bathroom, thirsty, hungry, so on.

-> due to this i wear tabbed underwear due to acidents I have which is embarassing and its uncomfy but I need them so I wear 24/7.

• During meltdown I hit myself, bang head, and lose control of action so I sob loud and cant even wipe face off, and sometimes yell...

-> I don't like doing this but I cant stop it :<

• I need prompt to do stuff like shower or brush teeth or stuff like that or I just forget.

-> teeth brushing is big sensory issue and showering too (T^T)

So yeh autism is not quirky or cutesy or things like that, but this just my personal things I live with.

Yo hello cowboys and aliens my name is Toni,

I’m a severely mentally ill and autistic disabled adult currently trying to survive a period of extreme instability while waiting on a disability determination that could possibly take longer than a year. Over the past year I’ve faced housing insecurity, escalating mental health challenges, escalating harassment and bullying, the loss of foundational support systems, and ongoing expenses for medical bills and procedures, legal fees, and basic needs. I’m trying to stay housed, continue treatment, care for a likely dying AC, and make it through a system that moves glacially slower than real life and real crises and trauma do., as just a month ago I was sexually assaulted by an uninvited man in my bedroom.

I’ve created a GoFundMe to help cover basic living expenses, medical and mental health care, transportation, veterinary costs, and the everyday expenses that are necessary to help me take care of myself.

The vet expenses are first in my mind at the moment because of how ill my dog is as he’s rapidly deteriorating. It’s important to me that I have enough funds to cover his end of life expenses and stay afloat somehow after he’s gone and I won’t be able to do it alone.
