I have been watching @ziggys_eatery for a while and it's nice to see it finally open. A nice casual eating space, with a mirrored wall and a little bar. South Melbourne's newest burger joint? The Double Spanky was my standard choice as I try and munch my way through all the local double cheeseburgers. My burger consisted of 2 x 150g patties double cheese, pickles, lettuce, tomato and mustard. This is all served on a toasted sesame bun. The burger was nice, although it was peppery at times. I enjoyed the patties, they had a rich flavour and were very juicy. They were cooked medium rare, this meant they were a lovely shade of pink on the inside. The bun was a little too toasted for my liking, but it wasn't overly dry. The burger started giving way towards the end, but my friend and I still enjoyed the food.
