Right Wing Racists Use Tragedies
Right wing racists use tragedies like the Bondi Beach shooting to amplify their hateful messages. Stupid people like Pauline Hanson lump all individuals from a particular part of the world together in their condemnation of the perpetrators of these tragic shootings. They call for a ban on all immigration from places like Iran, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria and Palestine because of the actions of a single father and son. To give you a comparison, Rob Reiner and his wife have just been murdered allegedly by their son, should people stop having children on this basis because of the potential danger? Both suggestions are inane and ridiculous.

The Right Wing Media In Australia
The Right wing media, which is the majority of mainstream media in Australia, is beating the antisemitism drum loudly after the Bondi Beach shootings. One editor is proclaiming that it is not gun control at fault but blames Islamic extremism. You cannot make people think and behave how you want them to, especially in a western democracy. You can, however, control and limit their access to firearms. Guns make killing lots of people easier. Guns are not toys for big boys and girls to play with, they are deadly devices. Gun control is inadequate in Australia, because it only takes one episode of mental breakdown or rage caused by relationship failure to turn a gun owner into a deadly killer. Or, perhaps, Israel murdering 70, 000 men, women and children in Gaza in acts of genocide?

Antisemitism Is Not The Whole Story
Right wing racists use tragedies to further their own agendas. The whole antisemitism labelling is a deliberate misreading of the actual cause of what is going on here. It is not fundamentally about religion or anything to do with conceptions of God. Firstly, when it comes to Palestinians, these people are Semites themselves, so it is illogical to call them antisemites. Wars and conflicts are really about land and power. Isreal has been acting like a colonising power, stealing the land of Palestinians, occupying by force territories, running an apartheid regime and committing mass genocide in Gaza. People around the world who are protesting over the injustices and mass murder in Israel/Gaza are being labelled antisemites in a bid to silence them via state and social condemnation. This is a Right wing stratagem perpetuated by politicians like Netanyahu, Trump, and all those influenced by the Zionist lobby. There is a coalition of interests between Zionists and Christian Nationalists in the US. This is not about Judaism, but Zionism and its control of Israel and expulsion of the Palestinian people from their homeland.
Bondi Beach Mass Shooting Unacceptable Full Stop
There is no excuse for mass murder in any form or situation. I do not condone, in any way, the terrible actions of the Bondi Beach murderers. However, in saying that, I call upon all to dig deeper than their own prejudices or that of the Right wing corporate media downunder. If you trust the words of the News Corp press or Sky News Australia you are sadly misguided. If you accept the opinions of talking heads published by Seven West Media or Nine Fairfax, without digging deeper into sources yourself, you are letting yourself down, if the truth is important to you. We live in a time and age, where you can use the internet to discover information yourself beyond what is fed to you on social media. Don’t be a fool easily led all your life. Right wing racists use tragedies to rile up the uninformed.
Digging Deeper Into Tragic Events
Every tragic event has a background story. This is what we call history. The world does not start completely anew each morning when the sun comes up. Familiarise yourself with what has gone before, if you want to understand things. Do yourself a favour and investigate stuff. Stop being a repository for the schemes of others. Find the original or primary source before settling upon an opinion. Rupert Murdoch, the publisher, and controller of News Corp was one of the first to promote the op/ed rather than dry facts in his newspapers. Opinion, especially an enflamed one, attracted more response from readers. It was more entertaining on this basis. Thus, we watched the news shift from being documentary to entertainment fodder. The popularity of fictions over facts among human beings made his platforms more saleable for readers and advertisers. Investigative journalism is expensive in comparison to op eds. If you look at all the Right wing media platforms there are very few investigative journalists on their payrolls anymore. The ABC remains home to 4 Corners, which is a rare commodity in the media game today. Digging deeper into events is not the MO of most in the media today. Think of Fox News in the US and you get the Murdoch drift. Outlandish lies and bluster with little factual basis at the centre.
How About Paying Tax News Corp?
