First I'm starting with mumbo's head feathers. I drew a pattern of what shape I wanted my feathers to be. Than cut it out with a 1mm craft foam making sure I had two layers of foam so I could have an identical copy. Next I used wire to and tape to make an internal skeleton for the feather. Something that will make it be able to stand up at gravity defying angles.
